Painted Eyelid Removal

is it possible to remove painted on eyelids without damaging the headlight?

wet sand the paint off with very fine grit paper then plastic polish and they will look like new. ive done it on my old zx2

it will take time but it will work perfectly

dude, use old or new brake fluid. thats what i used when i was spraying mine. then they dried and didn't look good and brake fluid was the only thing that would take the paint off. trust me i tried everything. wet sanding would work but i didn't want to risk scratching the lens. if you do wet sand use lots of water.

yes plastic polish, i used to use it all the time when i was working with plexigalss and lexan. Just look and you will find it at stores. But wet sanding and plastic polish is going to give you and unbeleivable finish. LOTS OF WATER

nail polish remover if not done carefully and in very moderate amounts will actual;ly begin to eat at the plastic

i went to the car wash and took the high pressure water and just blow them off. less work the all that sanding

acresol a rag.... and some kind of non acidic liquid..... we use it at work and it wont hurt your lense unless you let it sit there over night... or you can use a paint thinner.. and you just have to remove it right away.... youll be fine if you do it quickly but the acresol is the best you can probably do
