Painted Eyelids / Clearcoat

Did a search, came up dry....

Question is to those who have done painted eyelids - Did you clearcoat the whole lens or just the bit you painted?

If you did the whole thing, have you had any problems with the clearcoat peeling / hazing / yellowing / whatevering?

Just thinking that if I do this I don't want to have that edge where the painted meets the unpainted if you know what I mean.

Thanks in advance!

I would clear the whole light. Prep it with a yellow "really fine" scuff pad

I agree, if you put several coats of clear it should mold nicely.

I just cleared the eyelids themselves and it came out pretty good.

Thumbs up

Damn you guys are quick

Thanks again, still debating blacking out the stockers with lids or doing a custom bixenon setup.
Need to do some measuring, see if I can fit everything I want to inside.....not much room on the turn signal side.
