Painting Calipers help

Hey guys,
I've used the duplicolor paint caliper kit to paint my calipers, but over the months they they just seem to chip. I have repainted them twice and they chip... any ideas to stop this?

I brushed mine about 2 years ago (red) and they still look good... to a point lol obviously theirs break dust on em but no chips or anything.. I would suggest taking them back off and use the brush to paint on a heavy coat and let them sit in the sun light for a bit... only thing i can think of.

Yeah I cleaned them off with the supplied caliper cleaner... I may do them again and apply mulitple coats and let it dry longer.. that the only issue I can think of.

Go buy the duplicolor brake caliber paint kit. It costs about $15. dont use the spray can crap but the brush on stuff. It comes in a box with a jar of paint a stir stick tape brake cleaner and a brush. I've used this on most of my cars and car club members. Never chips.

1. Get all yor tires off
2. Get a wire brush and scrub your calipers to get all the loose paint.
3. Tape up the rotors if you arent good with the brush.
4. Put on light coat of paint then do the next caliper (it wont look real good on the first coat).
5. Repeat the coating process about 4-5 times.Put the rims back on carefully not to hit the wet calipers. Let sit for 12 hours to dry.

One of these kits can do 2 cars! So bring a buddy. (if you have enough jack stands)
