Painting charge piping??
So i went to my local powder coater the other day to get my synapse charge piping that i bought from a friend powdercoated gloss black to match my intake. He said that because of the heat of the turbo it gets too hot and would peel or flake off. So with that being said, would it be best to prime it and just paint it gloss black instead?? Thanks

all the companies that sell it black.. powder it black..
they guys are full of ****.. however
that being said .. I'm using ceramic coat on my piping and using ceramic clear coat on it .. so
people have done that on their blowers and it's stayed in tacked turbos DO get hotter but you're not painting the turbo lol

i do powdercoating on the side and yes you can get powder for up to 1400 degrees. i would not paint because it may peal off. powdercoat FTW
i have powdercoated turbo housings and they held up. so the pipes shouldn't be a problem.

Only thing I would be worried about with the painting is that the pipe goes from really cold, to really hot back to really cold.... paint may release from the pipe and flake off. If the paint doesn't have a good bond to the piping... he's SOL.
Get it powdered! Speak to someone else who knows what they are doing.
