painting chrome

so... I'm likely trading for a pair of chrome rims assuming mine fit my friends with spacers. In order to paint them what grit sandpaper should I use and what type of paint? High heat paint?

hahaha where did weight come in to play??? maybe he just wanted that style wheel and didn't want it in chrome

style looks cool and they're pretty much free assuming my rims fit an 08 SS w/ spacers. I'd just like to paint them before we put the rims on my tires so I don't have to take them off again later.
