What kind of paint should I use?

 

any high temp engine paint

 

What degree? I think I have 500.

 

my exhaust hits 1600* at the collector...dunno if they have paint rated for 1200+ stock i saw about 1400* at the top of 3rd gear

 

ceramic coated is just about the only option. Paint will just burn off.

you can even use barbecue grill paint,,,it has a very high heat rating...

Errr... i don't know how you BBQ, but i don't think my BBQ gets anywhere CLOSE to 1600F

Painted it some yesterday with the VHT stuff above. Need to paint the bottom tomorrow.

 

i used 2000* high temp from autozone, painted it a month ago and hasnt came off yet. header also cools down to the touch in like five minutes, just make sure you bake the paint on the car i just started it and let it idle for 5 minutes then let it cool down 10 minute idle cool down then drove it for like 15 minutes and let it cool down gain now its good to go

nice, yeah i thought my ic pump was working... it wasnt lol car runs fine now and is pulling a little harder
