Painting headlights...
Painting headlights...
Can somebody help me out...
I'm trying to paint my headlights, and I have a light in the oven as we speak, but I can not get the damn lens off. It seems like I get it hot enough, but I'll unclip one clip and another that I unclipped previously clips back. I can't seem to win. Help?

210 is way too hot, your risking cracking the lense and your just getting silicone eveywhere. just pry at the corners little by little. the bottom right hand edge is the hardest part to get out. just making sure, you took out the torx screws in the back right?
fo0k it im glad i bought mine lol... just to much to deal with it was worth the 140 to me... lol. i've always wanted to try it, but i just can never bring myself to actually go through with it so i settle on aftermarket lol.

i know not a glossy black finish like the rest but eh.. i like them...
my boss at work she has a cobalt just like mine sept its the lighter blue and she came in today and said hey did you lights come that way... and i told her no i bought them but i wanted to say ya its the new year model
lol.
knowing me cause im like a walking murphies law, i would burn the **** out of myself, i'd fo0k up the paintjob, and i would seal it back wrong and get moisture in the lights... so i think i went the safe route for me.

Yeah I took the hex screws out. I got the first one apart, finally. The second one is in the oven right now. Damn this is a pain in the ass...lol. My fingers are almost blistered from pulling at silicon.
exactly why i have never done this, if i had a friend that had done it successfully then i'd get him to help me and do it, but well don't need to now... please post pics tho... i'd love to see another custom job.
Heres a few pictures. They are pretty bad because the sun is so bright right now.

I also have Xenon chrome amber bulbs in, and I painted the reflector black, but surprisingly if you put light to it it still reflect normal.
