ive only painted rims that were on my 89 z24. GTZ rims. but all i did was sand them with like 600g sand paper. clean them with achohol. prime. wetsand. paint. clear. if needed wetsand and buff. mine i painted gloss black when i painted the car and the paint was still looking good when i sold it 2 years later. go heavy with the clear dont be shy

sand them first with a 420 or 440 grit sand paper so the paint will stick and clean them REALLY good with 91 alcohol then just get some regular universal black duplicolor paint and then clear it with duplicolor high performance wheel clear.
