Patching hole in shroud idea

Hey guys i just picked up these retros from ssblacksc:

and i cant stand the gatling shrouds. So i still have my e55 shrouds from my fail retro attempt that was cut short by the birth of my daughter on feb 23. So, my previous plan was to use e55's with 80mm ccfls on the inner ring, after looking at them they seemed to small, anyways i tried to get the wires off to pass them through the shroud. Ended up having to dremel a small hole and was going to drill another one next to it to pass the wires so the shroud looks like this:

(joe's car is my background! so nice)

So i ended up break one of the rings in the process.... Now id rather go to 100mm CCFL's and use fish line/epoxy them on the outside of the shroud. Problem is, i need to patch that small hole.

So i had the idea today, what do you think of a little puddy/body fill, then sand, then paint that very inside lip body color? Which would be cashmere metallic.

Then the only thing id have to do is find that color in a spray can, how would i go about doing that?

So you're saying you wanna paint your shrouds the same as your body color? I believe GM can get you color matched spray paint in a can.

just that very small inside lip, think it will be noticeable? Im going to see it and plastidip it and then i can spray over that, if it looks bad peel away!

I might just pass because i just got a e55 shroud free from a friends at a serious hook up!!
