Ok guys and gals finally got my great new vavle cover from MODERNPERFORMANCE....Well once it was open i noticed that my powder coated vavle cover looks like a cheap ass painted vavle cover..mmmm..Well after i called and bitched them out because how the hell they sent this off is beyond me but it is crap and i am sending it back and getting my money back dont plan on buying anything form them agian..I said screw it and i am just gonna polish mine..







Neways just wanted to give everybody a heads up so they dont buy this cheap crap

wow. that does look bad. it could have been prevented by maybe doing some sanding before the coating

 

it just looks like they didnt smooth out the blemishes before powdercoating.

yea they where like whoa thats never happened before, and i was like do you check it before you send it ...Then he changed the subject and was like i will take some money off...I said no cause if ya fucked it up the first time whats not to say ur gonna do it the second time..So i am sending it back and getting my money back

 

I would of told them that if I wanted it to look like **** then I would of done it myself.

interesting, i've always had good customer service through modernperformance. usually have good prices and fast shipping.

 

dont vendor bash read the rules...this can be taken care of privately with the vendor and admins on the site.

 

not vendor bashing just letting everybody know not to get the vavle cover...But hey up until this had no problem with there stuff bought a good bit of stuff from them...Just wanted to make sure people see what they are getting if they buy the vavle cover...And i agree got my stuff fast and prices where fair

that is really bad... part of the appeal of powdercoating is a smooth, flawless, glassy surface. *** tht... i would be pissed...beyond that if they didnt give me all my money back including shipping.

 

Yeah I agree. I hope the mods will be more understanding (and they seem to be as of late) towards posts like this because it is important for customer testimonials to be shared for both the company (they know what they need to work on) and the consumer (they know what kind of quality has been seen in the past). Of course we have to keep in mind that these vendors help fund the forums but if they support it to sell product they should stand behind it. Vendor bashing is different from from negative reviews of product/service. Vendor bashing should be corrected as it is the customer (and people who join in) going on ignorantly, but reviews like this are the company's fault and they should either correct or deal with the issue. Just my .02 cents

Looks like they blasted it, then left the glass beads on it and powdercoated it.

 

Man thats some pretty bad Spit from the Gun. I Do powder coating for my job and you get about 1 bad paint jobs out of thousands

Damn that sucks. You can tell by how good some of the areas look and how nice the color is that if it came out right it would of been great. Of course, those areas that look nice just make the majority that looks bad seem even worse.

 

yah i powdercoat for my job too, and thats mad shitty
