Premium paint on 07 SS/SC
I was at a dealership the other day and saw one of the new 2007 SS/SC had a "premium paint" option ($295 extra). It was a maroon-ish color. Anyone have any info on it or what other colors are out there for this?

From what I could find, blue streak metallic looks aweful close to the Lazer Blue. I have a feeling it's pretty much the same color, just a different name for Pontiac.

Yeah the red one he originally spoke of, and that's in that other thread, is Sport Red Tintcoat. It's a nice, deep metallic red. Very similar to the Spice Red Metallic that's on the Pontiacs, if not the same. I saw it on a 2.4L SS in person and thought it looked great. I still love my Laser Blue Metallic though...

Premium at one point was the semi colour shifting paints, like the lightning blue, that maroon, equinox also has a green taupe like one... all of them will shift a few shades or so depending on how you look at them in the light

I would guess that it's not a common color (Victory Red, Ultra Silver, Laser Blue, etc. are on some other GM cars). This color *might* be the same as the Pontiac Spice Red... but that's the only other one I know. It's just a way of charging more and making a "rarer" option.
I also heard someone say that the Sport Red Tint was a three stage paint: silver base, red tint, clear. That would definitely explain the extra charge... but I'm not sure if that's really true or not.
