ya its not the hid my friend has a ram that the same exact hids and with the stock reflector housing there deep blue, the glass lens of the projecter is a purple tint i was seeing if i could be removed with some chemical or razor
Advise was referring to the color of the projector lens, not the actual color of the HID bulb (when on). Also Advise's issue is noticable in the daylight while just looking at the projector lens, the HID is off. I have the same problem, unfortunately I have not found a way to correct this issue other than buying a new headlight assembly of trying to swap out the projector lens with one that is clear.
Typically the entire lense is made of purple-dyed glass...as in you would have to replace the lense. You could try looking for a replacement lense, but it'll be a game of guess and check to find one with the same focal length so it doesn't skew your cutoff too badly.
All-in-all, you'll end up spending more on lenses than buying a new set of headlights. If it bothers you that much, just buy a new set of lights and sell the old ones off.
