Projector HID

I just bought the HID kit from 3Bspec and I have a few questions. So I have a relay with the kit. Now do I only attach the blue and white wire off of this to my stock harnass? and not the ones off the bulbs. Also the HID bulbs dont fit the stock projector so do I have to cut the housing?

Bump

The kit comes with 2 ways of wiring it up.
The wires that come through the grommet (round rubber piece) on the bulbs are there if you do not wish to use the relay harness.

If you wish to use the relay harness, tuck those wires off to the side and use all the wires on the relay harness. Also as for the relay harness, you'll only be plugging it into one side of your OEM connector, the other you just tape up and tuck off to the side.

Also, as for the bulbs. Do you have OEM or aftermarket projectors? I would imagine aftermarket since you used the word projector. As for the bulb going in, it will actually go in not the way you would imagine. If you look at the back of the projector, you'll see a space for the return wire to go into, but it is blocked off. So you actually stick it in 40 degrees twisted left or right. If you don't quite understand, I'll doctor up some photos.

Not sure I understand about the bulb part. So I would plug in the blue and black wire on the relay to the stock harnass on the driver side to the blue and black connector? and nothing would be plugged in on the passenger side?

On the relay harness, the black and blue wires go to your OEM connector. Also it'll only connect to one side. So nothing would go to the passenger side like you've already noted.

I had to dremel my headlight opening to get the bulbs to fit. They won't fit into the metal area, need to dremel out about 1-2 mil to get it to fit.
I cut the insert to get the wires through, then I hot glue gunned the opening to shut them close.

Basically when installing HIDs into aftermarket projectors, it doesn't go in the way you think it would. The return wire goes towards a corner. I highlighted it with red circles. Also, if you want you can dremal the bottom part which is what some people do to install the HIDs, but so you know it is not necessary.

This picture is what the back of the projector housing looks like where the bulb goes in.
