QUESTION: Projector aiming. Which screw does what?
Ok, I got THESE projectors installed last night. They look awesome.
Here's the problem, however. They obviously need to be aimed. It's not that I don't know how to aim them, per sey, it's just that since they have to be taken out to do so, I was wondering if anyone with these same headlights could tell me which screw(s) adjust left/right, up/down so I'm not taking them out, making the adjustments, putting them back in, only to find out that I went up when I wanted to go down or went left when I wanted up.
If someone could just tell me which screw does what funtion and which direction you turn the screw to go a desired direction, it would save me a lot of time.
Thanks

2 halos
1 projector, 1 high beam
3 LEDs across the top inside corner
1 turn signal on the top outside corner
and 1 side marker on the bottom outside corner
lol...that's what I'm trying to avoid

Whether or not someone tells you what screw does what, you will still have to pull them off the car, adjust them, then put them back on in order to see if they're aimed properly. You're not saving a hell of a lot of time in the end of it all so I would just go ahead and start adjusting things. You pretty much figure out what screw does what after the first set of adjustments anyway. I had to aim my third gens on my own and it didn't take very long to do.

it depends on what gen you have. (gen1)
(passenger side)
Left is up and down I think and right is left and right.
If you got 1st gen cutoff suppose to look like this:

I empathize with you, aiming Gen 1's are a pain. I have them. Think of it like this. The screws are in the corners, and they directly move the housing based on the corner it is in. So if you only twist say the lower left screw in, then you are pulling the beam down and into the lower left. If you want to move the beam straight down, then you have to turn both bottom screws evenly. Does that make sense?
I had to do the trail and error method, but I was able to keep the lights installed on the car while I did it. I have a lot of tools, and was actually able to get a socket on each screw.

Not much to it really, just imagine a 1/4inch drive socket handle with a bit driver on the end. On one of those screws I remember using a stubby screwdriver to fit.

Oh good lord. Okay, gimme a day. I used a 1/4 inch socket driver, 3" extension, 8mm 12 point socket, and sometimes a stubby phillips. I'll edit this post with picture when I get it.
