Replacing airbag emblem?

I finally found an airbag emblem because mine is dented i went to a junkyard last week and the way there held in is the go straight in and the tabs bend so im wondering if you can replace these with an oem one? i know its not possible to bend the tabs back behind the airbag so what other options are there i dont want to get an overlay or buy a new airbag i want the oem look can it be done?

thanks guys

If you push it in hard enough it'll just come out. It's just taped in. I've already had mine out to paint my trim and such.. I doubt you'd have a problem replacing it with another OEM one..

If you push the airbag emblem hard enough, it should go straight through the dash trim. Then when you go to install another, just re-tape it..

The high-rise sucks so far. lol. Having a hell of a time getting it mounted correctly. If what I did yesterday doesn't end up working, I'm just gonna pull it off and get one of those M3 lip spoilers.. lol

If you have a 07 it was hard as **** to get the airbag cap off.

I welded the holes plus the trunk lock and got the M3 lip. Look the best IMO.

I used 3M's plastic filler/adhesive. If I want to take mine out I am going to have a hell of a time.

Some people have just used double sided thick tape or glue.

hey dude my cap was dented and i got a new oem one off ebay. mine is a 08. you will NOT get it in properly with the tabs still attached. people tell you to bend the tabs but it still doesnt work.
i cut the tabs off and put 3m adhesive tape on it and taped it to the wheel

it held in fine

but i got a new one from moter city vinyl. its liquid dome. custom made

looks DOPE

Ohhhhhh.. lol Stupid me.. I thought you were referring to the airbag warning thing in the center dash trim.. lol

Hey, JoshuaVinyard, do you own the wheels in your image section? If so, post a picture. Those are nice.

ill look for the link not sure if i can find it.people say to bend the tabs and so
i tried for while and it wouldnt go in all the way. i believe you have to take the airbag cover off the steering wheel to properly put this on.
i just cut the tabs like i said.
looked fine.
