seat swapping possible?

Hey guys.

I was curious as to something, after posting my "I hate my seats" post.

In the same aspect of installing aftermarket racing seats, could I install any seat if I use Cobalt brackets? As in, use brackets from the Cobalt on the *insert car here* seat.

For instance, use the 02 Civic Si Recaro buckets instead of spending a billion dollars getting high end racing seats. Plus, they're comfy.

I really hate my seats...

I'm sure you could fab something up. Just take it apart and use your imagination.

I'll trade my LS coupe seats for your seats :-) But, by the looks of it, I don't know if you can get rid of your seats, you have side airbags in your seats... Won't that cause issues with the airbag system?

???? NONE of the Cobalts have side airbags in the seats. If you mean the seats he posted in the picture, those are the seats he WANTS, not the seats he has. Those in the picture are Civic Si seats.

Precisely. My Monte does too. If I get hit on my door THAT hard in a Cobalt, I'm probably screwed anyway. lol. Even with the side airbags...

They have Side curtain airbags, but they have the bolster airbags in the seats... If they don't go explain that to the dealer here... He seems to think they do, but then again, he told me you could order a V6 for the cobalt also.

Actually, the Pontiac vibe is just a US version of this Japanese Toyota. That's why if you look at a set of Vibe keys, it has a Toyota style key with a Piontiac logo and it has a Toyota key fob. They even have the same high initial rev as the Toyotas do. The 1.8 in the Vibe might even be the same as the Celica? I don't really care for Toyotas... But I like the Vibe.

perhaps the vibe is so similar to toyota is because i am pretty sure Dae-woo has alot to do with the vibe/aveo....not 100% as thats what my dealer told me and i can c why because the dae-woo's look the exact same as the aveo/vibe before they were bought by GM

The V-6 that is in the Saturn Vue is made by Honda, maybe he some how got the two confused, although I don't know how he could do that.

The Vibe, Corolla, and Tacoma are all made by Nummi, which is a joint venture of Toyota and GM.

See, that I knew, it has the Odessey motor in it. But the LSJ in no way shape or form has anything to do with Honda.

Actually, if you want to be technical, the Vue V6 engine is from a Honda Pilot.
