Spray painting a bumper
Is it a stupid idea to spray bomb a bumper? I'm just asking because I just bought a Zen rear bumper after my stock one got hit and run in a parking lot and I dont know how to go about painting it.
I was going to go to a body shop and have them do it, but now I hear more people telling me to spray paint it (my car is black)
Is it a feasable Idea? to get a nice looking bumper with spray colour matched spray paint and goo quality rattle can clear (du pont or something)?
it's gel coated and needs to be sanded smooth, primed and painted.
If I DONT rattle can it, is it easy enough to sand smooth and at least rattle prime before giving it to the shop?
My experience with spray painting is average, so yeah.... I dont want it to look like some rice hack job.. but all I'm saying is if time is taken could it turn out nicely?
