Stock bulbs in projectors

I have heard that you can use stock bulbs in projector housings. i am just wondering if this was a myth and / or if anyone has done this. thanks

no it cant be done.. to of the sets of projectors take h1 and the other set takes h7.. stock head lights take 9007.. entirely different bulbs all together..

dont some of the projectors come with the high/low beam bulbs, just not the turn signals? i swear i read that somewhere

no that would be a custom set up if it dont have turn signals at all.. but all the off the shelf projectors have a high beam and low beam bulb in them.. the third gen projectors didnt come with a turn signal bulb but has the place to put em. not sure bout the other 2 gens.
