I had some time this weekend so i painted a few things, with help from my Grilfriend. The pics are at night and from a camera phone so they arnt the best but enjoy any way.

The Dash of course.

Bowtie looks much better than stock.

Tryed something new, havint seen this done yet.

Bowtie looks great, and dash is cool, but I don't understand why people paint that piece between the radio and the air controls. It would look better as one unit rather than broken up like everyone does it. Would it hurt to use some Masking tape?

 

Looks good, ditch the antenna though.

 

i like the whole idea of painting the antenna...but as a matter of preference i think i would still go with a shorty....but way to be original

 

Probly because painting all that would involve a LOT of masking, however it does sound fun, and I might try it sometime...

Not digging the antenna though, and the pic dosent do any justice, it looks pink

I painted my dash trim Red but the **** looks a billion times better bc the dash is black not that off tan ****

 

Very nice man, but like they said, ditch the antenna IMO

 

I dont like the antenna at all. dash looks ok, but the bowtie looks good.

 

The antenna is the orginal one but its cut, the pic just doesnt show it and yea im still up in the air about the color, i can always go back to black with it. And yea the dash looks much better.

 

Did you only cut an inch off of it or what? Its still HUGE

Actually it was exacally an inch off, j/k, no its about the same height as the roof but im looking for an aftermarket shorty as i type. Any advise on the shorty purchase?

So how many vendors do i have to look through before i can find a dam shorty antenna!?!?!?!

way to be creative on the antennae. in the picture it doesn't look good. in person in might look cool tho.

I did the same thing with the trim as well, but i also did under the dash, the door panel, and rear seat panels black. I used red vinyl where the fabric on the door handle is.

i know its a little far from you but it would be cool if ya could make it...anyhow it looks good...i contimplated doing the paint but it makes the stereo look so genericly square..IMO

Yea i really want to go to a meet now that ive got a few little things done.
The stero sucks but im too much of a poor bitch to get a deck right now and i just sold my amp to a friend who needed/wanted it more than i did.

Hell ya son that Vic Red all the way. I might be hokey on some things but not paint.

P.S. I used dupicolor plastic primer and dupicolor Vic Red. I didnt use a clear on it but its pretty shiney so......

Yea it looks pink in that pic but its vic red fosho!
