Toggle Switch Placement, Wiring etc
as of today:
Corner LED strobes: Installed and working
3 Slot Din: cut and painted
2 Working toggle switches
Everything is going so smooth now that I figured out the kinks. I'll get some pictures up when I get the din pannel installed into the dash, I've got a little surprise.

got everything working like a ******* CHARM! The videos I took suck because the frame rate cant keep up with the LED's so everything looks about 10x slower.

BEFORE MY MINI LIGHT BAR

I'll get the video up soon.
Do it, kill switches are pretty popular. And honestly, its not that hard to do once you get the hang of it. Just make sure when you pick out your switch it is an AC switch, not a DC switch, otherwise you'll probably start a fire. . .

I put the switch for my hard-wired ULB9-1 on that bezel bit between the radio and steering column. I bought the piece off eBay for the 05-06 Cobalt with the two buttons for the DIC, put the "racing style" switch through one of those holes and saved the original bezel for the event that I trade my car. As for the power source, I used T-Taps and attached them to one of the cigarette lighter power supplies, put a fuse in line and wired it so that if I needed to change the fuse all that had to be done was remove the fuse access panel that's in the passenger's foot well so the whole dash didn't need to be tore up. I'll post pics for anyone that's interested in seeing how it turned out.
hahah chillllllllllllll out dude! Blue lights are not required for firefighters. Therefore its not the responsibility of the department nor the government to supply them to us. Second, it's a volunteer only department. Third, I dont HAVE to install these lights on my car. The Signal Mini Phantom is a 100% legit USA made emergency light made with a cigarette plug so you dont have to hardwire it in. But I use my cigarette plug for my radar and ipod....on top of that, switches look so much cleaner..
The APC lights are just extras, when you see them all installed you'll understand. As for installing them myself, I've done it before. But never on a Cobalt, I just wanted to see if anyone out there has any easy tips so I can avoid trouble down the road...
I appreciate your concern man, but everythings gonna be alright, I enjoy doing this ****
