unexpected twist in the making of a better looking cobalt WARNING 56K

well i have a 2010 cobalt. base model yada yada yada here is a pic of it.

i want to upgrade to ss bumpers and do some other visual mods to make it look better.
well yesterday after work i drove 4 hours to kent ohio to get this body kit from 1SLOWSS( thanks vinnie!)

didnt have pics of sideskirts at the time. but you s/c guys know what they look like.

so i driving back. nothing special. looong drive back and i havent been to bed yet. (i work third shift) few pics of the whole kit getting stuffed in my car with no damage being made to the bumpers or skirts
i know that bumper is pushing on the top. i have a new inside top thats black. just looking for the ss interior kit

so no big deal right? wrong...
im literally 15 mins from my house and a big piece of 3" aluminum square tubing falls off the semi in front of me. im blocked by a semi beside me and there is another one behind me. DAMN U TRUCKERS
i end up running over the piece. its wedged under my car so i pull over. pull the thing out from under the car and this is the damage
fan and shroud are seperated almost

dings my front bumper

and smashed my radiator

not to mention it also dented my tranny pan. will post pics when parts come in.
so now my car is screwed till the parts get here. so now im wet sanding the body kit all week to prepare for paint so that when the parts come in. the front bumper will already be off, and i can put the kit on then. will post updates

dude that sucks. you should have gotten the license plate # off of the trucker's trailer. You could have reported it and got him busted and then got money from him or his insurance to fix your car.

Damn dude, you should have sued that trucking company. At least it was not a tire like what happened to my buddy two weeks ago.
And he and his lady friend only walked away with scratches.

Nope, the other side of the freeway. Were think it fell off a city truck or maybe out of the back of a truck carring a lot of old tires. If we can track them down, he is going to sue the S*it outta them for neglagence.

yeah I hate saying things about truckers because I know theres members on here that do that for a living...

But man the dump trucks that drive on the local roads here a ******* idiots, they barrel down the road at well over 110Km/hr, they dont stop for stop signs, **** is ALWAYS falling from the gate(rocks/sand various other debris)

Or the truckers that neglect safety procedures, I saw one jackass driving on pretty much bald/shredded tires, and another guy had a flatbed full of metal beams that were sliding about in the strapping as he turned, its rediculous.... On our way to florida we saw a trucks tire explode on the freeway and like chunks of rubber bigger than my whole wheel were flying all over and hitting cars!!!

like I know the general population of motorists are neglectful and careless as well, but when you're operation some behemoth of a vehicle you should be checking and double checking EVERYTHING

And they destroy roads. Look at a state's hi-ways with weight limits... then look at michigan roads, highest gross weight allowed.
