Meguires NXT Tech Wax.

Goes on and comes off very easy, and leaves the paint with an awesome finish

I have a random orbit aswell but i only use it with polishing compound. I've waxed my SS twice so far, (first time with the buffer / second time by hand) and it turned out 1000000 times better by hand.

and DAMN i can't wait for summer to kick in so i can get a washing routine down...right now i just do it whenever the sun FINALLY comes out

PS: i seriously feel your pain about the swirls

Porter cable polisher -- Poor Boy SSR1, SSR2, Professional Polish, and Carnuba wax.

Here's the result when I used "store bought" products w/ the polisher:

It looks even better w/ the Poor Boy stuff I also am trying out Klasse and Sonus stuff pretty soon. I love auto-detailing.

Turtle Wax ICE is awesome, I use it for "quick" wax jobs and it waxes everything w/o any residue, like the plastic or rubber trim areas, the grille(s), etc.

Is THAT what they meant by white residue??? If that's true this Ice stuff will be a lifesaver I'm so damn sick of masking off trim pieces so i can wax care-free

You guys have to try Wizard's Mist-N-Spray. That stuff works wonders, and it smells like cherries! I'd drink it if I could...

I bought the turtle wax ICE and it's awesome, of course I tested it out on the wife's Trailblazer first to be sure I wouldn't hurt my baby. No white residue and a shine like you know what. It doesn't take long to get it done but I'm not sure yet how durable this stuff is. If it comes off after 1 wash ... It does have a cleaner in it too so waterspots and bug guts come off really easy.

I use meguiars NXT best 17 bucks i've spent on wax. It leaves alot of residue like most wax, but if you use two towels you should be okay. Dont worry about getting it on plastic trim like the side mirrors, i just used peanut butter and it came right off... yeah thats rite peanut butter i didnt believe it till i used it.... anyone recommend a good polish solution? i've waxed the car twice already, i need a polish to keep it shining like new

I got it too. I used it yesterday... made my car look brand new. And nature helped test it out today, it rained and not just any rain. Vancouver rain.... let just say it still looks good. Although there are water drops in the usual spots (below trunk and a bit on front bumper and roof).

Sounds pretty good. I'll have to try some of that stuff.

Yep, Mequires is the best way to go. Also, it dries on clear, so you dont get those white marks.
