Just got back from Ceicel Drag strip...

I was mildly impressed. My first run of the night (never been to the track before, only been driving stick for 4 months) I ran a 14.5.

here are my 2 time slips.

The one on the left side was my second run. I raced a red cobalt with the same mods as me. He ran a 16.7 his first run I believe. his second run he did a little better which you will see below. We both missed third, and I hit rev limiter at the end instead of shifting into 4th. Also my launch on this one sucked cause I spun through first and when I shifted it bogged down cause I wasnt moving fast enough

The one on the right side is my first run (EVER) against some blazer. Whooped his ass even though he had atleast a 6 car lead on me from a launch. I let off the gas and started breaking before I actually got to the end. Had I kept going it would have probably been really low 14's. I thought the end of the track was at the sign where it tells your time, but I noticed shortly after that that there is a light that blinks when its over and I slowed down before I got there.

I think I could have easily touched really low 14's if I could get a better launch.

Thanks, I so wish it wasnt so busy and cold, I would have ran a few more times. IM kinda disapointed because I knew I could do better.

Cvenom went with me as well as my friend with the G6. My brothers best time was 14.9 and the G6's was 15.09.

Yah, great numbers! If you can get your 60' down a touch you will really cook! 99MPH trap speed, that is very good.

Fastest I have seen this car stock is 14.4 @ 100 MPH (Car & Driver Magazine). So you were pretty damb close to that!

IM not very good at reading these but if you look at both sheets on the one where I trapped at 94 mph its pretty obvious I braked before I got to the end because the slip right next to it says I hit the 1000 ft at 13.02 and that sheet says I hit 1000 ft at 12.3 so had I kept going I would have probably trapped in the 100's and ran a 14.2-14.3....

DAMN IT!
