Yo, Winnipeg here, HOPEFULLY gonna get an Arrival Blue SS/SC w/ Sunroof and unfortunately no LSD/Recaro package since its delayed to next year.

 

Hey all From Lethbridge Alberta! got my Black SS on order ... it seems like forever but I will hopefully be the first in lethbridge to drive one and what is this LSD/Recaro people are talking about i have no idea what it is, but i will get my pictures of my cobalt asap yeah!

 

I read on GM Inside Forums that only 220 SS/SC's were allocated to Canada for the 05MY (they figured they wouldn't sell that well like the SRT-4) but that there are over 1200 pending orders for it. Uh oh.

 

that would be really bad

cause our last count was 500-700 SS/SCs for canada

i better get mine or i'll be pissed!

the lsd is the limited slip differential.. allows more hp to hit the ground

the recaro is the upgraded seats its a package worth around 1500 US

although canada cant get it yet

 

since when is the srt4 not selling well ive seen quite a few in the toronto area...Chrysler never had plans for the srt4 to be huge seller, they were just trying to squeeze a few extra dollars out of an old model car(the neon) and at the same time try to get something out for the tuner market. There has been too many rumours on how many 05 ss/sc's are allocated for canada...They would not base figures on srt4 sales as the srt4 is an old car, the cobalt is a new car. the lack of ss/sc's in north america let alone canada is simply the fact that they have only one plant that builds the cobalt, they do not have a seperate plant building ss/sc's...the mass majority of cobalt buyers will only buy the regular four door cobalt...that and the actual production run of the ss/sc is going to be really short considering they did not start building the ss/sc till the end of january...there is good amount of demand but nothing in comparison to the new mustang...in Toronto a dealership has a ss/sc thats been sitting around for a few weeks now

 

agreed--Edmonton has a better track, I have raced there before. It was 0.5 sec faster then Calgary too Although the return road does suck....

 

All these Calgary boys.......now I gotta represent. E-Town, baby. Sitting up in edmonton waiting on delivery of my Black SS S/C. I ordered it on Dec. 08. Exactly 4 months ago, and it is on it's way. Maybe, it shoud be made int an ALBERTA club. Even if Vancouver is getting its share of Red Cobalt SS S/C's, I hope that mine is the first black, if not the first in Edmonton(maybe Alberta ) If not this should not be the last that the world hears of ALBERTA COBALT CLUB.

 

GOTTA be a red one. Unless they have a blue one that hasn't gotten bought up.......YET.

 

Only 1 red one out here and it is sure sweet having it. Right now only 4 other SS' confirmed for this area but none in town yet. I'm getting lonely. Now seeing as I was born and raised in Edmonton I should be allowed to be any honarary member and when I come thru there in June we can have a parade or somethin

 

Mississauga. Ordered an LS Coupe today (Arrival Blue, auto, sports pkg, sunroof, enhanced audio) with delivery in 6-8 weeks. Those miscellaneous charges are killer though.

there were two SS's in calgary, both are now gone from southgate

 

yeah My Black SS is here!!! it's still wrapped in plastic! and my good friend who is the salesman phoned me when it was still on the truck turning the corner and we are going to take it for a spin on Monday I'm a little rusty on a 5 speed but I hope I dont mess up lol but yeah if anyone in calgary wants to meet up I will drive up there after it's in my driveway paid cash $29,750 I got it with onstar no sunroof and smokers package

P.S there is still one SS here in Lethbridge a RED with red on red interior no sunroof or onstar guys get it fast dont touch my black one hehe and we should start an Alberta Forum here

Did you happen to keep track of approx how long the transport took. My car is suppose to be built this week and i'm hoping to get it before the end of the month (Not holding my breath though). Does anyone know if there is any way to get a rush on the delivery.



BTW: I'm all for an Alberta chapter. We should set up a date this summer to go for a weekend drive... head out to Radium... Vernon... maybe even Drumheller
