Exclamation This could be really bad

Ok guys Im really scared now, heres the story.

Last year around May I was driving my 1991 Volvo 740turbo up a main street at around 3am. I stopped at a light and an Integra pulled up next to me. I payed little attention at first. Then I looked over and there were four guys in there, and one of the guys in the back seat clearly pulled out a gun! I **** you not. I didnt think, I just floored it. The light turned green as I was halfway through the intersection so I didnt get rammed luckily. I look back and the Integra is clearly trying to keep up with me. Thank God my car was definatly faster since it was pretty heavily modded (ran 14.9 at Cayuga ). I didnt let off, went up to about 120km/h in a 60km/h zone. I looked back again and saw flashing lights. Undercover cop pulled me over. I dont know what was wrong with me but I could barely speak when he came to my window. I just handed him the liscence, insurance and proof of ownership. He walked back to his car with it. I calmed down a bit by the time he got back and tried to explain what happened. His response was "If that were true, you wouldve told me right away, not after I wrote your ticket". The ticket was for 96km/h in a 60. A major.

Long story short, I decided to give X-Copper a crack at this. I gave them $500 and they said theyd do the rest. Court date came up May 1st and just now I got a notice in the mail. It said I owed the court $62. I called X-Copper right away and asked what happened over there. They said that they managed to reduce the ticket to a 79km/h in a 60, that it is now a minor, and that there are 3 demerit points.

My question is, what will this do to my already massive $5900/year car insurance? Is there anything I can do? Help, even if its bad news, tell me.

Thanks for reading/any imput.

Man I would have took that cop all the way to the big house (court) I mean if he didn't believe you then what if somthing did happen to someone else.. No way in hell I would have paid the ticket no matter how big or small!!!!! You didnt hurt anyone at least so they should be thankful.. Did you give a descritoin to the cop at least?

That's what I would try. The downside, is if they find out and you didn't tell them they may drop you. The good thing is, if they don't notice, they typically only look back 18 months. So in a year and a half after the issueing date of the ticket, you should be home free.

To be honest?...what Should the cop have done? If you were him would you believe the story?. Because I already think it's fishy, I know you get excited, but to not tell him until after is in-excusable. You have zero proof and look guilty from the get-go.

While if it's true it sucks, you didn't do what you should have, and for that you will pay dearly.
And the second mistake is the $500 to X-copper, they are the biggest rip ever and you could have gotten more off your ticket for FREE if you have done a 'First Appearance' with the prosecuter (this is what x-copper does for you for $500).
You have already plead and are done, you have zero options. As stated stay with your same ins. company and hope they don't do a driver abstract upon renewal(most rarely do). And if this is your first ticket you are most likely fine.
Good luck bud!
