nah i aint @ tim hortons always. I work on mcphillips and park my car there and i live in fort richmond and never go to tim hortons. I got price quoted for $586 for stage 2 from dan murray and asked them 3 times to make sure and they kept quoting me that so im wondering if the guy was screwing up or sumthing.

How much are you willing to pay for the air box?

Is anybody wanting to meet this weekend @ kp on sunday or anything let me know.

Has any1 ever looked into lowering their cobalt and if so...does the ride still feel smooth??

just got an email from gm canada hers what it sRob,

These Stage Kits are new, and we tried to get them to market as fast as
possible - because the demand has been great. Having done that, we got
ahead of some of the other parts of the process - including getting all of
our communications out to our dealers about the Kits. Bear with us - we're
getting the word out.

In terms of warranty - The warranty for Performance Accessories through GM
means that these Kits are covered under the provisions of the New Vehicle
Limited Warranty. So, in plain English - if the Kit is dealer-installed
prior to delivery or during the GM New Vehicle Warranty - the warranty
period is for the lifetime of the original purchaser, or the balance of the
New Vehicle Limited Warranty. If it is dealer-installed after the GM New
Vehicle Limited Warranty it's 12 months or 12,000 miles - whichever occurs
first (parts and labor), and finally if it is other than GM
dealer-installed, it's 12 months, parts only.

Hope that helps!

$580+tax is the upgrade kit if you already have Stage 1. Peg's Fastest SS, it sounds like you got ripped off, as cost is a lot lower than that at every dealer in the city, I would complain to your Manager.

Stage 1 is anywhere from $700-850 and Stage 2 is $1100-1250, dealer cost should be lower than that without a sweat

SSNIPES...how much would you pay for the air box??

These prices are being weird cuz the sales associate in the service dpmt said $560 plus tax for stage 1 & 2 and he kept sayin that so i have no idea what price he's quoting off of.

Who all would be willing to meet up @ kp on sunday nite for a bit?? start a list...

I have had guotes for 1475 to 1050.

560 cdn is cheaper than 650 american. if you can do it order it. but I have a hunch he is misreading his screen and you will get a belt, hub and pulley plus the reflash for stage II.

I ordered a strut tower brace from Jbody Performance. Can't remember final price with shipping but I'll post it for you tomorrow if you want. They're in Canada so there is no duty or BS brokerage fees or anything. Welds on the bar were a bit heavy but not as bad as the pics on their site. The bar is pretty heavy duty and more of a performance peice than a show peice.

Here's a pic installed:

The bar tightened up my front end a bit and makes me a bit more confident in some circumstances. It's not a mind blowing difference but I can tell it's there. My FE3 suspension is kinda sloppy though; I imagine the FE5 is much tighter. You guys may feel more of a difference. I don't want to drop on a Pro Kit until we get some aftermarket struts happening though so I'm stuck for a bit

So is anyone planning on going out to Gimli this weekend for the season opener T&T? I was really hoping to go and get a couple of stock timeslips but I've heard horror stories about wait times on opening weekends. Last year one of my buddies bailed out at 2:30pm and got a refund because he was still 20 cars back and hadn't made a single pass yet. He showed up a bit late though, so I wonder if showing up and getting through inspection early would make a difference...
