I think it's hit or miss. Kennyspec on here went to Gimli on drag radials with his 360whp LSJ turbo swap. Used his launch control and never broke an axel. But cracked the transmission housing on both sides where the cv shafts go in lol.

Jordan I went to the gym today and saw a black SS/TC with a super nice inverted hood on it (apparently custom) i've never seen before. I started chatting with the guy and he's a Trifecta dealer! Well I guess he just uses everything for his own car. It has an intake, full Hahn exhaust, external blow off valve and charge piping pushing 30 psi. I guess him and Vince have been working to see what he can get out of his car. Seemed like a nice guy.

Lol no kidding. He just seems to have it for his own pleasure. I guess he had a GMS1 then started adding stuff to it and it ran like crap. So he called Vince and got what he needed. I don't think he's done any other cars. I asked him if he's ever on here and he said he's checked it out. But didn't seem overly interested.

Lol all for more posting and good reading guys! lol some of those posts are just so Irrelevant. Heres my mod list....

That guys hood is nice! its actually really tastefull and would likely porvide some cooling function best hood ive seen besides the custom cowl a guy made a while back... i like the Rk sport one as well..

I think this was posted a ways back but im pretty sure the tifecta stage three doesnt include self ajustable rev limiter regardless of weather you have launch control... i belive that was the only real win for the GMS3 vs everyting else lol.

BUt for a dollar value the tifecta wins in all catagories IMHO based on the article about it anyway.... if your gonna "void your warrenty" anyway why go with GMS3 when its way more expesive?

Good to see some action on here again.

I have never read that.

I started reading & posting just before Vince crasked the Stage 3 ECM - so I am subscried to that thread, and was quite closely following it - at the time it was because I had given up on getting a yellow '09, and was going to look for either a 2005-2006.5 Arrival Blue, or 2006.5-2007 Laser Blue Metallic SS/SC to tide me over...
I had decided I wanted something newer for a change, and was hoping to buy cheaper from the states, import it, drive it for a while, and hopefully clear a couple bucks on it... then the USA economy started recovering, and I found my SS/TC for nearly 30% off MSRP while being brand new.

Anyway...

I never read anything about the User set rev limiter not working - and have followed the more recent launch control option which replaced the rev limiter feature ~ but I was reading for a while that it was only through BYT??

either which way, I am glad to read of someone else having this flashed, and would like to speak face to face with the parties involved so I know what to expect (so that I can in turn be better informed for prospective clients)...

Two weeks, and I'll be on the road heading out to Winnipeg!

I wonder if I'll hit the Half moon on Thursday or Friday...

Hey!! ~ speaking of heading up to Lockport - are there any local road closures for the flooding that's going on? - or is it mostly in Southern Manitoba these days??

Nothing to report for road closures unless your heading to ST Adolphe And even that may be open.

Road to the Half moon is clear sailing as of saturday lol.

short intake or long?

Hey guys,

Was just wondering if there was a difference in using my Injen intake on my 2.4 G5 as a short intake or a long intake? I can't remember if there was any sound difference or power difference in the low end or high end..... Any input would be great thanks.

Oh and would it be more prone to getting dirty quicker in the wheel well compared to just sitting under the hood? And when would be a good time to change filters? Can I tell by looking at the filter when it would be time for a new one?
Thanks guys.
