Poor execution on your part.

they are ******* clingy as ****.
Needless to say, we both fucked up.
Well you aren't putting any mileage on them that you would really notice abnormal tread wear. But between stuffing them on those rims and running high tire pressure the contact patch on the outer edges won't be nearly as good. And iirc the pic I saw of the tread when you bought them there wasn't much life left in them either haha.
When I bought them the wear indicators weren't yet exposed... now they are pretty much exposed...
I have been down to, and a bit below 20psi - but the track is a good distance from anywhere to fill up - and I didn't want to drive on the highway with 18psi... so I just left it at 25.
As I see it, they have more than paid for themselves already - in abuse saved from good tires, or not having to run an old worn out tire - and chancing something go wrong.
they're a drag radial- they have barely any tread depth to begin with.

You can think, what ever you need to think - as long as you can sleep soundly at night!
...then be uber-paranoid of someone stealing (overpriced) TC rims.
I have done this if someone I knew was going to be there and not race - so I could throw them in their trunk...
IIRC the low side of retail on used TC rims is $200/ea ~ I would know last time I was down your way, I bought two more of them from that same sport red car at the wrecker off lagimodier(?sp)...

and the pit areas often have people wandering around...
yes, I'm a little paranoid - I'll admit it...
Chances are nothing would happen...
But still, $400+ is not chump change to me...
IIRC most racers watch out for other peoples stuff because the understand the cost of racing and the respect they have for each other. When I hit the track I bring a jack and tool box and empty out the trunk and any weight I can and leave it in a pile by where I park in 2 years of going there nothing has happened yet.
IMHO you have nothing to worry about also I race my street Coopers and I not the pressure down to 15 PSI when I race then drive back to winnipeg like that no issues and no uneven wear.

they do - but it's all about hte people who are not the racers...
I won't have any problems leaving stuff in the pits when it's a legitimate event... but these street car night events generally are a pretty mixed lot ~ and with Race City having been IN Calgary, and Castrol being only a couple minutes from Edmonton - I tend to be a smidge cautious.
