Geez. If me and 10 guys can pull a 191000 lbs airplane 6' in 8.91 seconds you would think i could do the 1/4 in under 15 seconds.

It was sweet^^^ good to see another Balt in the 13s
1st quarter mile ever and I ran a 14.67 @102mph

Unfortunately that was also my best run lol. The colder it got the higher the quarter mile times. Consistently all night. I could graph a mean curve. However improved my mph throughout the night 60fts were cobsistently worse with each run.

Ah traction was a problem for everyone. Even guys with slicks. But the cars were running strong! I had a blast. It was good to meet ya man. Like i said we'll do wings soon

just buy them outta the wrecker - then you can swap back - if you have enough parts it could be a fifteen minute (or so) swap ~ less bleeding...

but what are you pulling now that you'ld even consider it? ~ you should be able to dip into the twelves before the tires you can use limit you...

You can run radials on 17s and save yourself the trouble.

Good to meet you too. It will be nice in the spring on a 20deg day when a little hook up starts to take place. I'll have new tires by then just gotta decide what to go with.

Maybe drag radials on a set of 17s if I can find a cheap enough set.

Drag rads can not compare to what slicks can do on the drag strip

Not true. Slicks and drag radials are very close in comparison when it comes to traction. Actually alot of guys have run faster times with drag radials than slicks. You may get a bit better consistency with slicks though. A good friend of mine works at Motion and is just about finished building his 9 second mustang, and will be running drag radials on it

Sorry, BL, but I'm totally with Projekt on this one;

there's a HUGE difference in rubber compound between those tire types;
You need to adjust your launch according to different tires;
Consistancy??! ~ with slicks versus DR's versus street tires, the three have absolutely nothing to do with consistancy - it's all about launching, and the reducing the 60' times...

no offense, but where are you getting your info? ~ you might want to try a new source.
