And last time Kevin was at the track with his turbo LSJ his time wasn't a whole lot better than with his M62. But he broke his transmission so didn't get to have much of a day. He won't man up and bring his new set up to the track.

my times may of been just as slow with the turbo setup as with the m62, but yet i trapped ~14mph higher, this speaks volumes.

ha ha, I wont man up....who pussied out on running my slicks last time? I have had my engine/trans in and out of ths ******* thing more times this summer alone than you have made passes down the track. after stripping 3rd gear 3 times from a roll, and grenading one trans case at gimli i have swapped in the F23 from the 2.2 i am on engine #3, this time it has diamond pistons in it. Bottom line is...this car is a ******* money pit. as it sits i coule EASILY make over 400whp, but yet i have no disire to. I have MAYBE 20kms on the rebuilt engine and have zero motovation to run it. I have moved on to bigger and better things, as have most of the ppl on this site that really knew what they were talking about. These cars are built like a little toy with a glass transmission. Before you start flapping your lips about manning up, wait untill you have enough power to start breaking **** on demand.

And oh...my slicks are in the my garage, come get em any time.....My thoughts are with your transmission, may it R.I.P.

But yes.... i'll be in Wpeg Sunday evening or monday noon

Ok Kenny calm down. I'm just bustin you're nuts. Geez. And now you understand why i don't want 400whp on my daily driver. You keep making more and more power and you think the stock components are going to hold up? You've blown up 2 STOCK motors. What do you think is gonna happen running a massive snail with a **** load of boost??? I don't want to have enough power to start breaking **** on demand to man up. Read you're post, it's not fun at all. So just put down the windows in the Camaro, crank up the Iron Maiden, let you're mullet down, and let the wind flow through it

Hey does anyone know where I can find rules for the gimli dragway? I can't find anything on there site...

Or maybe just answer a question for me. Is a helmet required when drag racing. I'm pretty sure 90% of the people aren't wearing them but I just wanted to be sure..

The helmet is necessary if you feel you will run 13's. However if you tell them you think it will run 14's then dip into 13's they will only give you a slap on the wrist. The way gimli is good luck getting 13's if it is your first time down the track.

If you touch the 13s you need a helmet

honestly, i wouldnt bring one if i was you unless you have one. You can hit 13s but at gimli its a tough one

haha sorry JP i've been extremely busy lately, and out of town a lot. Also I'm planning on selling the tc so mods for now are halted. I've decided a daily driver and a project car(RWD or AWD) is the way to go. I'll be at the track this weekend but won't be racing due to a broken hand.

I might need a stock tune flash, I think I'll have more luck selling it 100% stock

I hope to Touch 13s but who knows being my first legit quarter. (and tires being at the end of there life) anyone know where I can get a cheap helmet and if there's any rules on what's acceptable?

what are your mods? If your on bald stock contis then there is litlle to no chance for 13's, the prep is not too stellar

As far as other rules just make sure nothing big is loose in your trunk, your seatbelts work good and you should be fine. When they teched mine it took the guy like 30 seconds - newer vehicles they are pretty quick. Also its a cobalt so i dont think they were too worried that I would go to fast

excuse my shitty one handed typing

Oh and Don't run your ac cause youll leak on the track, also don't go through the waterbox and wear your seatbelt

Well your not stock so I guess it's possible, if you break into 13's they will tell you to slow down or helmet, you can prob make another pass but if you do it again then they will call you on it

True enough but that much power break the tires loose in third gear poses some serious traction issue! But that's always the case with these cars. Not limited by power options just traction!

That would be great! Just in case lol I'll try to keep it south of 15sec at least... I hope.

113 in a quarter is pretty BA. Have you considers getting some drag radials on 17s Jordan? Or are you looking more to auto x or general fun with your car vs such a race specific part?
