You'll get no argument there. But I'm still happy with it.

I just did about an 8k km trip (calgary->portland->los angeles->calgary), my brother rode shotgun, and he was impressed by the mileage (he has an '09 C-SRT4)...

OK, here's why I'm posting;
I noticed your sig cars;
Do you by chance know hte guy south of Winnipeg who has all the shelby dodges?
Apparently he has a couple Shelby Daytona Iroc's, one of which he sets records with...
When I was talking with him a couple years ago, I got the understanding that he is one of the main go-to guys for getting turbo dodges worked on...

Haha yeah that would be Rob, having a turbo dodge in Manitoba you pretty much have to know Rob.

they lived in the house on the south side of the highway on the edge of town...

you mean as in N-SRT4's?

if so, this is the guy to go to with an N-SRT4, those nice cars I was talking about were all N-SRT4's ~ he normally had at least three in his driveway...

Have you found a dealer in MB that will install it? I haven't had luck with that, so I haven't bought the kit yet either.

seriously??

this is GM stuff, any service department has access to the information, if they only look...

I moved out of winnipeg over ten years ago (only moved there for a couple years after HS), but back then I knew at least one dealer that would have done it as they catered to more high performance cars, and even allowed a local car club to use their meeting room (plus get a discount on parts) ~ iirc it was Park Pontiac - due east of the Kildonan place mall;
is that dealer still there?

I tried birchwood. They claimed GM discontinued the stage1, and if I was lucky, I might find a dealer in the states that would install it for me. I want it, but not that badly.

that is TOTAL baloney.

give the part number;
print off the information about hte install

then go back.

Granted I had to inform each dealer here about it, but it's exactly the same (software-wise) as the Solstice stage1 kit ~ so they have to know about it...

you should also be able to point to the current GMPP catalog (any parts department should have at least one current copy), the kit is clearly listed...

I seem to recall the Pontiac dealer in Steinbach always had lots of performance models on hand - maybe they will not feed you BS, and be willing to do the install/flash...

That would be Park Pontiac(It is now known as Park City Mazda).. After working their for 5 years I will tell you to steer clear of it, especially for service work!! Things changed drastically when the owner (Dave Dveris) booted his son out of the business and made his other son the president(probably 10-15 years ago).

For the guys wanting the Stage 1. When I got the stage 2 for my LSJ I had my buddy at Extreme performance install the injectors and pulley, then I hobbled it down to Gauthier chev for the reflash. Warranty still intact. All the dealers were pretty ignorant when it came to the kits, which is why I went that route.

oh?
I moved back to Calgary circa '98;
The Pontiac club used to meet there;
I still have have some receipts from part I bought at Park Pontiac.

Thanks for speaking up WPG_SS/SC ~ it's always great to hear the scoop from someone locally involved in the business.

@Black9
So I guess you need to pop in at Gauthier chev to talk to the service manager, if you don't buy from CED (te cheapest) there's a dealer in rural AB that sells tehm at a smoking price - the parts manager posted in the (iirc) 'Calgary - random talk' thread a couple pages back...

EDIT;
my mistake;
here are the two posts (quoted in entirety);

We have not installed on yet.
labor rate at $ 85.00
if all you need is the reprogram it should be 1/2 to 45 min.
gm charges the dealer $ 50.00 for tech line so that is also passed on to the customer.
let me know.

Got it from crateenginedepot and installed it at
murrays on waverly. They took care of it and didn't seem baffled when I brought it in. It comes with instructions and they did A great job. 0 issues and it looks like carefully quality done install. Came to a total of 695 including shipping and duties and install.

If your looking for more power talk to projekt about a trifecta tune. Allot less costly as well.
