So what..... Thats been the norm in the US for years. If Im doing twice the limit I goto jail get a fine ranging from 1k - 10k dollars and my car gets impounded and or crushed. You all are a bunch of whiny bitching babies. Grow up follow the law or don't get caught breaking it. I race illegally every weekend and I haven't been caught in the 7 years Ive been doing it.

Can i interest you in a glass of shut the hell up...?? I dont race, except on a racetrack but heaven forbid me going over the speedlimit for whatever reason and become labeled a "stunt" racer or whatever the hell they wanna call it.. the article was for everyones general knowledge.. yur knowledge does not appear to be to general, if at all basic...!!!

do you honestly think street racing is gonna prove anything. all its doing is ruining it for the rest of us that go to the track and race and if you get caught with the new laws out now a days is having a few seconds of speed really worth losing your car and your license for. i don't think it is.

ROFL... You are a very funny person. But are you sure you are not mentally impaired? Going 5 - 10kph over the speed limit and going twice the speed limit are 2 very different things. the fact that you people are worried about it tells me you routinely drive above and beyond the speed limit. Yes your right the original article post was for general knowledge and from there on people did nothing but bitch about it like little ******. I simply the 2 options you will have form this point on. 1 follow the road laws. or 2 Don't get caught breaking them.

Now I know your tiny simple minded brain cant comprehend how this law in no way effects you if your above statement is true. But I'm sure if you round up a few more Canadian friends here you might have enough combined brain power to figure it out.

Lil bitches like this and a few other mayonnaise garglers need to STFU and GTFO. If your not supporting or invloved in what these guys are doin why the hell are u in the thread.

Theres a big difference between gettin nailed racing for speeding. I would be pretty pissed to get a ticket for parking the wrong way.

Good Luck guys

People street racing or drinking and driving trying to put relivence to this post are completely sltupid.

You are comparing apples and oranges. Let me break this down in a why you can comprehend:

You
Doing something stupid and widely known as illegal. If the cop didn't throw you in jail then he still wasn't doing is job. I actually hope you crash into a tree so you can't hurt anyone else on the road.

Them
Doing something innocent and not widely known as illegal. They had to open a book or laws just to find it. If the cop was "just doing his job" then he would have been walking up and down that street writing tickets instead of driving his truck look for people to harass.

Amen Brotha... That is exactly what happened. The RCMP actually Opened the Vehicle Trafic Act and looked every thing up. The part about tint is tentative in the Act and not strict law. It is more a guideline from what the RCMP officer told me. The section in the Act about parking, again is tentative and allows the officer to make a discressionary call.

So, unless those of you that are just on here to get your rocks off and be the ******* devils advocate, GTFO this thread. We don't want to hear your assanine comments. We are trying to build awareness and possibly have some Laws ammended down the road.

If you would like to understand the CANADIAN laws I suggest you google the Queens Printer and do a search for the Alberta Motor Vehicle Safety Act, do some reading before you make a ******* comment on how we should suck it up and quite being pussies.

We will NOT and I repeat NOT tolerate Ethnic or Cultural bashing on this thread. I/we will ask the Mods to remove you. So please keep it clean people.

I am with all of you guys and your endeavor to perhaps have some ammendments made too some laws, and the fact that the officer should have treated all of you with respect and nothing less, tickets or not.
However, to all those that say suck it up, I think you should applaude what these guys are doing, right or wrong in your mind makes no difference, they are standing up for what they feel is right. I thought you were allowed to do that in your country too. If you dont go after something for change, than you are just a follower.

On the article. I think its a fine law, I really couldnt give a crap, however to spend 2 million on a plane "to start" and 55 assigned officers for the task is retarded. I propose all street racers change their game to 100' drags. lol. and speeders keep it under the 50kmh limit. Really, do you need to go 100kmh or greater in town? or 160kmh on twinned highways? I have no worries.
Cheers.

I think a member of the Legisalture should be petitioned to put fourth a proposed bill to change the tint laws.

At least allowing a certain %.

I heard recently the whole reason behind the no tint on the front side windows was so cops could see into the car.

On the off chance there is a threat present.

Thats complete garbage! What about the rear side winfows? They have be lack as nigh, the cop could not tell anything!

I mean, cops knock on door houses and cannot see whats on the other side of the door!

Maybe cops should just quit if they feel so threatended by what they cannot see!
actually the tint law got really enforced because a cop was shot and didint see the person during a pull over... Its one of those "one idiot ruins it for everyone else" sorta thing.... I guess i support the tint law as it is. But i dont see the necessity these officers did...

WOW YOU NEED H-O-O-K-E-D O-N P-H-O-N-I-C-S. i've clearly stated at least twice that i was NOT driving and MIP's are a misdemeanor. I had to go through 6 months of probation because i had ONE beer. That is excessive, but that's the way life works. In my area a few of my friends have gotten MIA's (minor in attendence) for being AT a party with alcohol there while being underage...they weren't even drinking. I really just don't know what you guys are trying to achieve here. Getting rid of the tint law isn't going to happen, it is there for a reason. Are you trying to raise awareness of police abusing their power?

innocent = not breaking the law. You all KNEW it was illegal to tint those windows, but you did it anyway. If you guys got tickets for something you didn't know was illegal, i wouldn't be arguing this right now, but you guys absolutely knew you were breaking the law when you tinted your front windows, or at least most of you did. Cops suck, there will always be cops that abuse their power, i really just can't see what you guys are trying to achieve here. Look at it from the view of the outsider. You guys broke laws and knew you were breaking them, no matter how minor they are, you got tickets for them, the cop did treat you like crap, but welcome to the world of every teenager EVER. You can't always expect to not get in trouble when breaking the law, you can't bank on the cop letting you off every time. I just don't know why you guys are going through all this trouble. What are you aiming for?

**** man. We are not bitchin about the fact that we were ticketed. We are bitchen' because of the different standards that are set in not only our country but north america in a hole. If you look at the different standards throughout our country which I posted in this thread, does that mean that if someone from manitoba which allows tint to go to sylvan would that cop make him peel it off also while he is in alberta. Come on, get your head out of your ass and look at the big picture for once in your life.
