Hey all.

Red Deer has a pretty good sports car club. Each month during the summer they host autocross events. Its cheap to enter ($30 for non-members) and is super fun. I talked to my neighbor who goes to these and he says its a blast. Good mix of amature to wanna-be auto-x'ers and they make everyone feel welcome.

For $30 bucks that's not bad for a days worth of fun racing. Im sure they would be more than happy to host us too. I could look into other camping or whatever for later in the day. Let me know what you think.

You'll also notice in the pictures link that there's a Cobalt TC tearing it up. not mine, but I know who it is.

I'd definaltey be down for this, its something that we havent done before and would be MINIMAL planning on our part. All we'd have to do is show up and then find a spot to party afterwards.

EDIT: I could take the lead on this if there's enough interest. So let me know.

i think we got one going for february 28th in red deer for a mini alberta meet.

 

im soooo down for that... i know my buddy would be down as well for the feb and summer meets in red deer!!! i mite be able to get 2 other guys as well..

 

Doesn't the Calgary Sports Car Club do a similar sort of thing, where you can just drop in and pay a fee and do some Auto-X runs? I know they do it at the Grey Eagle Casino Parking lot and at Race City.
