if I keep checking the thread enough I get emails from each post - but I just checked, and TeJay's post wasn't sent to my email...

so I didn't quite realize the Edmonton event I wanted to go to is this saturday...
whoops.
since I haven't really planned anything, and probably should stick around town for a family event, I'm opting out.
if anyone does go, please post up how the track was, and any pertinent results!

sure, can you please list more info on the car (pre-requisit #3)?
SS-2?
nitrous/supercharger?
I mean apparently (from my google search) the record holding stock Camaro is 12.87 @ 109.08mph, and the best road test I could find had six speed Camaro's @ 13 seconds flat.
So you have over a full second, over seven mph on the record setting car - while the record setting pass was done at a track which has an altitude of 563ft, unlike Castrol's 2210ft...
We all know you're not stock.
congrats on the pass btw!

FYI #1:
454 = big block chevrolet, never offered in the Camaro, but a big block in either 396 or 402cid was offered from 1967 through 1972
FYI #2:
454cid = 7.4L
2010-2011 Camaro SS = 6.2L "LS" series Small block V8 is a gen III/IV small block
I had guessed that.

I cannot recall reading here of a TVS going bad...
Since you put it that way I guess I could have come off right there as me showing you up - but that wasn't my intent.... really.
some people have of late gone to big block displacements on small blocks, but iirc they are not very common...
Think of it this way, if you were in a group of car guys, and tried to tell them all that you were driving your dad's '10 454 Camaro, they would have made fun of you - well my post was an attempt to avoid that scenario.
