if you come to calgary, give me a heads up, I'll come out to watch.
I had not heard a single thing about this weekend;
FYI: normally their events are on saturday and/or sunday (saturday = dial in / sunday eliminations) - but hte track is fully prepped, and unlike friday nights you should be able to get a ton of passes in (because of comparably no cars being there) - but CDRA events cost more than Secret Street too...
(I'm going to check out their site today to see what's posted)
no i totally agree with you guys on that dual issue... however you damn well know the idiots on this forum.... if you dont have a single exhuast and a evo mod your car is shyt... lol hahahaha you follow what i mean.... as for it being axle back well next year i hope it will be resonator back... hell i truely believe it is the only reason i am able to run below a stock time. we all know that a cai doesnt do much unless there is something there to support it. as for rc shutting down, well med hat or edm here i come.....
With the exhaust I am making (but being to lazy to work on as of yet this week) I picked pipe sizing to make the flow balence out
iirc I based my sizing on the pipe section, using available pipe sizes, and making the twined portion as close to the same combined sectional area as possible (eg: I really attempted to retain the same backflow from my main pipe to the split portion;
main pipe = 2.5"
rear pipes = 2.0"
main pipe section area:
π(r˛) = π((2.5"/2)˛) = 4.90"
chosen twin pipe combined section area:
(π(r˛))2= (π(2"/2)˛)2 = (3.14")2 = 6.283"
**ideal single pipe section area = 4.90"/2 = 2.45” ~ 1.76" diameter (so 1-3/4" would theoretically add a restriction at the "Y".)
I have chosen a nothing special small body muffler in hopes of it quieting it down enough, that in the end it balances out by adding enough restriction to end up equaling out with the main pipe...
ok, that's my long post for the morning... gotta go to work.

summarized:
Saturday
cost: $20
1 bracket group; winner will be last one standing (read: automatic runnin nuts on it's dial in)
Sunday
Cost: $50 ('Davenport' class; 11.5 & slower street cars)
So if you go Saturday, you will get in more track time than going on Friday night for roughly the same cost ( except spectators cost more, and they might make you wear a helmet - so figure that into the cost if you don't have one)
If a bunch of you want ot go Saturday, I might be convinced to race too...

Haha, yeh I put a lot of time into this car. I'm hoping to get some better times before the end of the year, heat and humidity has been killer here. Thanks for adding this SK guy to your list.

moving some of the discussion over here;
What these guys are missing is the very uncool 1+ hour wait to get the car off the track & associated clean up... btw the guy was fine.
would you believe it ~ I got five runs in tonight!?!
unfortunately, as I suspected it was a bit too cool to lay down a really good time, so except for one run with a goobered 2-3 shift,it was high fourteens all night.
(I ended up running for two reasons; 1-Density Altitude was 1000ft lower than July 30th, 2-low turn out)
But I did get a sticker tonight in leau of an earlier run;
I ran at Race City on May 20th, and broke 100mph on the single run I did that night (printers were out so I didn't stick around, and opted for a pass for later (used July 30th));
I guess it pays to (kinda) know the staff there because even though I didn't have the slip on me, I ended up getting a "Secret Street 100mph Club" sticker
I had previously been told they didn't give them out anymore which is why I never tried to get it before;
This guy I ran against tonight (3 times; he had a supercharged '09 Civic Si), told me that the guy handing out the time slips mentioned that he "almost qualified for a '100mph Club' sticker (trapped a 99.65mph)... awesome!
8 sec car rolled at RC tonight.. thanks for the GREAT prep work RC...

I broke the 100mph mark on 2 runs last night. My best was a 14.4x at 101.7mph. Me and traction aren't getting along haha, I can't launch with any rpm or I totally just spin out.the funniest was on my 4th run against you jon I totally spun out, missed third, grinded it for a good half second had to let right off to get it in and still got a 15.8(hate missing a gear). Should have stayed I guess but I thought it would take forever to get runs in, I will be there next weekend again

I'm #3, and I'm bone stock - I'm used to being either at the bottom of the list, or being bumped off...
EDIT:
with the two SK guys, I'm down to fifth!

he doesnt even have a custom tune either, its just a superchips, he has a turbo back catless exhaust too, he also removes his back seats, his passenger seat, and his sub/amp for the track
But What t/c has come in to this thread with more mods and ran worse times?

thats at castrol, big difference from race city(probably at least 0.5 second). and with what he has he is probably over 300hp at wheels with the tc which is what we have to do alot to for a sc car
