^^truth.

it would have to be a pretty spectacular blow up to need to be re-sleeved (at which point a replacement block would probably be simpler & cheaper).

It's not showing how stupid mark is, it's just misinformation. Its nothing personal man. Nobody likes to be giving out wrong information, at least I don't. I would rather people correct me than me continue with it lol.

But that's just me

I still think its a broken piston ring or part of the valve train

If it is a spun bearing then he might need a new crank depending on the damage

@soundjunky unfortunatly i messed up the shift at 6200 rpm from 4th to 3rd was a rookie mistake but **** happens now i gotta deal with it but glad you guys know what i bought cause the dealer i found it at had no idea thought it was just a stock motor. anyways we figured they were running a shop mix of 5w 30 in it which im sure didnt help the situation so dropping the oil now will have a better idea what all happened hopefully just the bearings and didnt pit the crank and will just be an easy fix but we will know in a few

thx tjay for your quick reply i will forward the info.....

@downshift i talked to another friend and he said maybe spun the bearings too.... if this is the case it may not be as bad as we first talked about.... you may not need sleeves..... but that would all be up to you on what you wanna build and your desired goals with this car....
as of right now im not to sure on yet what my desired goals for tis project are yet im leaning towards a turbo swap but still not a hundred percent on it was just planning on leaving the car off the road and doing this but i wana make sure its what i want out of it might just fix the issue at hand run the car with what has been built for a while and do some more research i dont wana get all this time in then decide its not what i wanted out of the car but yes sean is suppose to be stoping by in a few we are gonna drop the oil and pan and see whats what will let ya know from there

funny thing is the build on that car was meant for tvs or turbo swap, unfortunately you have niether..... having a m62 on that build does it no justice... even if downsize your pulley to a 2.7 ran meth or no2 it really is a over build for its power adder....

yes it would be a stock size crank. since it's got zzp rods, I would email zzp and see if they need a certain bearing. otherwise I would just get some GM bearings

I would bet that a GM dealer could track some down in Canada. You might have them by the weekend if your lucky. But zzp shipping is pretty fast

The only aftermarket bearings that I know of are clevit77. But I haven't looked that hard for bearings yet

When I sold the car I actually gave all the stock parts with it for motor. Assuming no longer there. Crank is stock(crank can take 500 hp). All machine work was done by a shop. All new bearings were used. Sleeveswere honed. One sleeve had a minor scratch that when honed disappeared. With valve springs the car should have been able to handle 7000 rpm. As for regular oil itwouldnt have hurt it. Was broke in on 530. Feel free to text me with questions 4036049921 I'm curious to see what the issue is.
