I was thinking the same thing. Fly wheel mostly and clutch since they are different. But there was no way I was jumping into that argument lol. I think the problem only gets worse when u get a lightweight flywheel. Which is y they are not really recommended on our cars. Makes it a bitch to drive or something.

I still agree with Acey that the F23/LSJ is more temperamental than the other 5 speed Cobalt's. Speaking of the first gear jerky crap, could it have anything to do with the motor bogging down driving the blower along with the car? I wonder if TC LSJ's do it.

the LSJ transition between 1st and 2nd is bad with the stock flywheel and worse with a lightened one. I have drove steve's 2.4 SS and it is in no way near how bad the gap between first and second!

i've driven soo many different cars with different levels of touchy clutches that it doesn't really effect me. after like 10 minutes of driving you should be pretty used to how the clutch engages/disengages that it wouldn't be an issue

true. once u understand the physics of how a clutch works and **** u should be fine... unless its like a 911 GT3 which is a bitch to drive unless you're hammering it... back when i worked as a valet at blackhawk (golf course in edmonton) one of the members who owned one found it very comical to watch us slowly pull away from the valet tent in it... the only other car i found hard to drive was those stupid civic del sols... no feeling, super light clutch and easy revving... i never had any idea what was going when i was driving that car since there is no feed back thru the pedal. **** i hate civics

We are the Canadian Hennessey dealer. I've done a bunch of 600 cars but this was the first 650. It sounds sooo good.

I'm not saying that I'm not used to it but that there is infact a gap between 1st and 2nd.

so was I.

alot of time and effort has already been spent on trying to find a suitable location that's withing about 30 minutes of the city - zoning has always been the issue.

MD Rocky, MD Foothills or whatnot, all have to "ok" anything well before ground is broken...

I'm game... this time I don't have (out of town) family visiting... so I won't "forget"

I don't understand the "waiting" bit... kinda sounds to me like something's wrong with that car...
and for the record, I wasn't trying to argue.

creepy?

oh...

I actually was out riding my bike around RB last night and saw your car when I was finished coming around the loop - I figured I might as well say hi, seemed like a nice neighborly thing to do...
I didn't know you had a highrise btw ~ and after seeing your car last night, I (again) spied your car heading towards 18th street this morning (@ roughly twenty to eight)...

... ok different order of business;
Acey posted about this in another thread;

These wheels;

See the inner lip on them? - I don't recall seeing that before, but apparently these wheels are actually Malibu(?) wheels that were installed on all '07 SS/SC's which were ordered with the non-smoked wheels...
if anyone has, or has a lead on, a set of these for a reasonable price, please let me know.

I wonder about the fitment of those wheels; the 05-06 gunmetals don't fit over the Brembos and the spokes on these ones are even thicker.

it's all about hte offset;
I personally know that the painted flat five spoke HHR wheels (he 17" that look kinda like the SS/2.4 wheels) clear (but were' talking fraction of an inch - I used a piece of paper to verify that they didn't touch - they're just that close);
I have only owned smoke tinted SS/SC wheels - they're close... and I mean VERY close to clearing the brembos;
I had a set last year that I ended up selling to a guy out of Red Deer, and I now havea pair which have DR's mounted on them...
If a set of these could be sourced I think they would be much better winter rims, as they give me the impression of being more sold... then I could relegate my 2nd set of TC wheels as the track set...

I attempted to debadge my car.. and things have gone terribly, terribly wrong. I feel like such an amateur, lol...

Why, why must this happen now, and on MY car. I've done this 100 times before.

I have both insured year round so if my car breaks down in the winter I can get arouond a little. most likely it will be the truck since I'm having brake issues witht the car at the moment
