i wonder if it was just aome jerk with lights...
a cop would egg you int speeding, and wouldn't cut yyou off how you described it;
iirc they all have recorders in their vehicles that the officers have no ability to tamer with...

hey I put nothing past a cop. if he or she is having a bad day they would do just about anything. I must say if this wasn't a cop then buddy spent a hell of a lot of money on light bars. this "ghost truck" was all decked out in the new lights they outfit the trucks with. it was absolutely positive a police officer. as for the camera set up they come on immediately as the lights go on. and every officer knows how to turn off the cam when they shut down the lights. I know this because I work on police cars and the officers have shown us how it works. this is why we do police cars, because we know how not to go snooping in police cars and playing with lights.

regardless police officers are human and I as I was saying capable of doing any douche bag move. my best advise to this officer is too, go home and ask the wifey for a bj. as a great comedian/actor once said, robin Williams " he is in more dire need of a blow job then any white man in history." its obviously been a long time since he had one and I feel he was wound up a lil tight.

ps. I wonder how the dogs would react if someone left a lil piece of sticky icky wicky in the vents of the k9 unit lol

Last night I pulled up beside a brand new Camaro and we did a couple pulls it took me a while to catch him but I did. He yelled to me that he used to have a 20G Hahn turbo ss and asked me to pull over. His car had an intake, exhaust and a trifecta tune. His old car had a trifecta tune too but Jonathan didn't tune it does pickles do trifecta too??

you can order trifecta tunes independantly;
you pay the same price, but don't have a dealer to provide support.

there was to the best of my knowledge a 2nd dealer in the area, but I bought his setup some time ago as a spare ~ mostly for the laptop.

He was from Regina but sounds like he's in Edm a lot.

Nice maybe we'll have to get some more runs in before the winter hits

His car wont be done for the weekend.I5t should have been done by now if its being worked on. All they have to do is install it, reconnect connectors and lines then bleed the clutch. A hoist makes it 100 times easier than without one

With all the set ups you guys got I'm surprised none of you throw your cars on the dyno. Is there no real good shops out there?

I think Taylor and I have my car dyno ready! 19* of timing is what we ended up with and a 2.6 second 75-100. It's definitely LOVING this cold air we got right now.

I was thinking about it but I'd prob do it back home in Kelowna guy has a shop there who's pretty cool. I will get dynode either way next year but I'm pretty much done with this setup gonna turn it down for winter and take the meth off.

That's pretty sick that you got 19* out of it I thought you wouldn't even hit 15* the way it was going earlier for you

well there are not that many dynos here. so to get a reasonable price you need to do a dyno day. then you get 3 quick pulls (at the most) then punted. if you want a quality dyno exp then it costs a arm and a leg. even then most shops have issues with getting their dyno to read proper with our cars. then some shops absolutely refuse to touch 4 bangers. then finally my friend hasn't put his dyno in the new shop yet. so we haven't had that option yet.

there has been other balt groups from AB to do a dyno day here but I think not one of us here on this site wants not much to do with them. it isn't worth the headaches. the guys who post here are more old school.

honestly dyno`s are boring, I would much rather go out and do some runs any day. to be honest I rather be pulling wrenchs or doing appearance mods too. the best thing about doing the dyno thing is ordering a Sammy's donair pizza and eating it as the car does the pulls.

finally I feel there are not many people who need to do a dyno. everyone here is on simple bolt ups and with 10 mins of searching these forums they would have a clue on how much power they have. this includes me, as not many guys have gone as far as I have. really I think kevin is about the only one who needs to do a dyno. his setup is relatively unknown.

I also forgot, at our alt. and with our temp changes our hp # can vary 10 hp on any given day. maybe even more.

Ya the cold weather is playing a bit of a part in the timing I'm sure but I'm pretty happy she's taking it! I remember when I swapped to 94 Taylor said he would would be ****** stoaked if it took 15* lol.

Mark a dyno is a great tuning tool not just a boring time at the rollers to see numbers. Just because your car isn't the fastest doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to get dyno'd. Even if it's a quick on and off few pulls (which mine will be) it really helps you see gains and improvements on mods. And seeing what kind of power curve your mods give you.

Is manitoba the only place you get to dyno your own car? Seems like it lol.

i believe in on road conditions. a dyno can be a great tuning tool if its accurate and your able to mess with the tune on the rollers. i dont have much faith in the places around here. nor will they let you play too much with your tune.

with that being said i will most likely strap the car down in the spring after i hook up some meff. i knew i wasnt close enough to that magical 300 # for the m62 to even bother. with meff i should be damn close and would want to see if i can hit it. i am not 100% sure if its been done on 94 and meff before, so i would want to go for it. if i do hit it thats when i will make a thread on complete details of what i have done. everyone who makes build threads is usually running e85. i feel if i can do it, it would make good info for the site to have a model for 94 and meff.

I like going to the dyno to do tuning, whether its on my car or someone elses. It just fun to see the gains you can make by turning up boost, or where you start losing power, and what changes effect it the most and such. I am hoping to dyno my car at the Dynojet in Fargo within a month or so, but I am chasing a number mostly lol.

Put in the garden hose cause you're gonna have to spray a lot to make 300 haha. But I agree with the lack of pump gas info. Trying to find things I'm wondering about with my turbo set up on pump gas is nil.

i would be starting at 14gph, i dont see much point in starting lower. honestly there isnt much info on pump gas cars. even if i hit the 290 range it is still very good info. not many pump gas m62 cars live there.

ugg, it hasn't been touched since earlier today;
I'm guessing that since it's warranty work, that it's only getting touched in between appointments now...

bummer.

I can do it complete by myself in 3-5 hours. Remember I've had mine out 5 or 6 times

Don't need a book the way I torque stuff!

I know.

If I had no warranty, this would have been completed several weeks ago;
But I have played my ownership of this car as to make the absolute most of my available warranty, and if I was doing this myself, it would be costing me money - which thankfully, it isn't.

Even though I'd like it back today I can wait as long as they make me, because at the end of the day I'm in a free rental and will recieve a BRAND NEW limited slip equipped transmission just before my powertrain warranty expires - and that my friends is a pretty sweet deal.

Now with hindsight, I'm wondering what I can do that's not in my current (GM recomended) service rotation which might gaurantee that the new transmission last longer than the first...

I'm probably going to change trans fluid after a month, then do a yearly check on shift cable settings, and replacing the fluid;
My guess so far is that the fluid not being on the regular service rotation, and shift cables being slightly out of adjustment both are what lead to this...

I don't know if you guys have noticed but ALOT of LNF owners are on their second or third transmission by the time they get to my mileage - and I'm guessing very few of the cars which were technically eligable for a warranty replacement transmission used it.
(powertrain warranty is fuly transferable, and is based solely on the original sale date for the five years or 160,000km - assuming the car hasn't been so modified as to void warranty).

Then again the LNF cars on even the much maligned GMS1 tune make 320ft/lbs - which alone prompted that GM raise the published torque rating of the F35 (from 300#) - and factoring in aftermarket tunes making more torque and/or ramping boost on quicker, and on average the LNF cars are pushing alot more torque than the LSJ guys...

So I might whine just a little, but I will wait - and be that much happier when I get it back
