Calgary - random talk thread
forgive my ignorance, but what did you have?
I see the occasional Cobalt SS/SC & SS/TC that isn't one of the "regulars" here...
The last ones I saw which pop to mind are;
a really nice silver SS/SC that I saw yesterday driven by an old man (honestly looked to be somewhere between 50-60yo) was turning onto westbound 114th right by the casino....
a nice arrival blue SS/SC driven by an older lady (probably roughly 50yo) in Douglas Glen...
a punk bagging on a red SS/SC downtown...
and a black SS/SC parked on fairmount drive (Acadia area)...
I used to see another yellow SS/TC; presumably the one the Jack Carter had (for almost a full year, because they wouldn't budge on the price) I would normally see it around southland & blackfoot ect...
I also think I've seen 'tom.g'(?) three or four times in the past month (in the south normally near Midnapore)...

Just curious if anyone has ever seen it. I thought that whom ever bought it would have contacted me for mor info on that car. When I bought the stang it only lasted in there inventory for about a week. That was back in early 2007.
@Kaisoboy - I don't recall ever seeing a black/blue CSS...
@ Steve/Kass/Jon - Based on the sarcastic bantering going on in here it reads as though at least three people are having a good afternoon!
(btw, I'm not touching any of the laundry talk with a ten foot pole, there's just too much there - besides, I used up all my "tease Steve" points last week with the SS/SC taunting)

I am planning on watching the bracket racing going on saturday night though (I didn't know about it till I phoned my buddy last night, and he was trying to get me to come out).
BTW;
I had ****-poor start to my day...
I start work @ 8am;
I woke up at 9:30am
I haven't turned off my alarms in my sleep in a loooong time!
after saying that to a co-worker he said;
"man, I remember those days... after you get married and have kids, those days are long behind you!"
does this mean the airshow is this weekend?
EDIT: you posted right when it happened too - I had to search, and all I could find was this little blurb;

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - An F-18 jet has crashed while practising for an international airshow in Lethbridge, Alta.
The crash happened around noon at the county airport in the southern Alberta city.
Witnesses say the pilot was doing low air manoeuvres when the jet appeared to stall and fragments fell from it.
They say the pilot was able to eject with a parachute and hit the ground hard.
The pilot has been taken to hospital in unknown condition.

huh?
the guy is ok;
being either USAF or Canadian Air Force, his medical bills are all covered;
if this happened in afghanistan it would be plastered all over the news, instead of just on the lethbridge herald site...
but it happened in lethbridge, and he's ok, so laugh away...
EDIT:
ok, just looked through my email notifications and saw the "missing" post...
I'm leaving hte rest of my response, just because...
