I'd watch.. but that's maybe the most.
I have not yet been informed of plans for Friday evening... but I know someone knows what's happening - when my mom flies in we normally get together as a family almost every night.

How is she running overall now? What's the afr up top? We should really hook up the hpt soon; I'm concerned about your ifr's with that 2.7 on there... Do you have a 10 gph nozzle for your meth kit?

What about Heart? You got some Heart?

Have you gotten that shift plus kit yet? It was puzzling me for a while there how a 2.2 could conceivably keep up to you, but forgetting that you were auto, that would do it.

nope.

I realised after turning off my computer I have one Elvis LP - which totally qualifies as cheese; but that was a freebie, and I have that only because it's still shrink wrapped; otherwise most of my records are 70's LP's...
and if we're talking strictly on record format, the only '80's rock I have (because IIRC Heart was rock) is a Scorpions double LP, two Bon Jovi records, and Mettalica's "and justice for all";
most of my LP's are purchased for novelty's sake, because of price, or because of artwork;
I've recieved far more records for free than I've bought - I actually have a box in the basement I've been meaning to get rid of... speaking of which, anyone want a bay city rollers LP? - it opens up to make a pseudo-poster

FYI: "and justice" was not a novelty purchase (I mean it's their best album bar none), and I have a small collection of 1990's Seattle scene LP's that were all acquired via ebay

I was actually bummed to find out the dual cassette player i bought this year is screwed... it looks great, but only one deck plays, and that one only plays one direction - the other deck can only rewind...
I've already started looking on kijiji for a replacement...

unfortunately for me, I've had a track on repeat in my head which I played last night while testing out the tape player, which only own on cassette... ftl

my brother just bought one last night - iirc it's a 1995-2004 only part;
but maybe there's another version of it...?

Like I've Said, Ive done the right mods, and I lucked out with my engine being pretty strong, plus also being an amazing driver helps.

But when you look at the times ( in the big quarter mile thread) 16.1 in the quarter mile is still faster then alot of manual 2.4s are putting down. Plus I bet I could be faster with a new clutch, now realizing that my clutch has probably been slipping alittle for a while I just havent noticed it.

Anyways its all in good fun, I cant wait for kris to get his Downpipe and shift plus and exhaust. I am almost scared that my want for competition will have me loose that race.

I want to see kris hit 16.0 then it will give me an excuse to put on more mods to my car.

i'm telling you graham i am faster then you. i just found out i've got a bad either cam sensor or cam phase solenoid which was causing my lag and causing my exhaust cam not to enter into power enrichment. plus i haven't raced at the track in a long time. no excuses for my times but i know i'm in the high 15's with my mods

Just be careful of what you say, you might have a bunch of 2.4 guys that will be out to beat you next year!

just wait till you see 15's - that will probably make you all the more serious...

Although you're one of the guys who has posted their times, you're not the only one... iirc there is even a 17 second e/t.

granted I alluded to one of your past e/t's to tease Graham some more... but I don't think his comment was in any way directed squarely at you.

IMHO, the key is that everyone needs to have a good attitude, and not showing up at RC with the intent of beating people;
If you got to essentially race against yourself you should never leave pissed off...
If you happen to beat a couple other comparable cars, then you will be even happier.

I don't think anyone is expecting you to defend yourself - heck last friday I was a good half second off my best (IMHO it was just a little too cool, and the ground was too cold) - I would expect everyone was running a little slower than they would have on a slightly warmer day (especially if the ground as warmer like it was in August).

Keep in mind Graham doesn't have the L61, he has the slightly more powerful LAP;
2007 Cobalt LE5 = 173hp @ 6200rpm & 163 lb-ft @ 4800rpm
2008 Cobalt LAP = 155hp @ 6100rpm & 150 lb-ft @ 4900rpm
you both have the same transmission, VVT, weigh about the same, and there's less than 20hp separating you two...
I think someone with an LAP/L61 and bolt on's is a good competitor for LE5 SS's;
they key is playing the hp/weight ratio - and tune.
Suspension mods might play a factor, but more often than not, suspension mods will not help quarter mile times;
I say that knowing you intend to further lower your car ~ I'm trying to press home that odds are further lowering your car will make it that much harder for you to hit your 15 second e/t's...

As long as you guys keep it friendly - I'll do my best to show up and cheer you both on.

I'd like for next year, a whole group of us show up @ RC with little to no warning;
and us all get along.

This past summer really sucked for us meeting up...

I cant wait till after this winter. I hope everybody makes tonnes of money and spends it on there cars and plumbing, and then come out with there top game faces on.

It would honestly be pretty cool for the calgary club to have a couple of the top contenders for all models of cobalts in there crew.

I have a couple of Ideas for my build over the winter, nothing to serious all depends on the amount of cash I can make. but I can tell you this, My lil 2.2 will definatly be hitting the 15.5-15.7 range.

mario andretti there is just a challenging machine today lol.... thats alright when they all realize that building a na car is fun, just a lil pointless. however just think of all the money one can save with a tc... even if you put a turbo on those cars, with that same money into a tc you can be twin charged and still knock the snot out whatever you wish....

as for a lil goodie challenge, i still havent heard from kris yet... all i know is we cant loose no matter what happens... food is food and i will be eating... so its all good!!!!!!!!!
