GOOD NIGHT YOU ALL!!!
GOOD NIGHT YOU ALL!!!
Mark, we can button up everything tomorrow night if you want, or when you get the downpipe you could do the install while I button all that electrical crap up...
if everything is buttoned up before you get the pipe, then we'll just need to leave the fuses out so that nothing see's power...
it's really your call, and if nothing else, tonight should have shown you just how easy going I am about putting any other plans aside to tinker on cars...

hey guys, I just got this email from one of the guys in charge of Secret Street;
I tried a while ago but cannot create a profile on beyond - can I ask that you all spread word (assuming you haven't started already?)
If anyone here knows admin over on beyond, maybe you could put them in touch with me too...
Secret Street Halloween Howler
We are thinking about holding the very last Secret Street event for 2010 on Friday October 29.
The main reason would be to show Mayor Elect Nenshi what goes on at Race City on a Friday night and how important this Facility is to us
It is important to have a very large turnout so we are asking for your help in showing up for this event.
We are trying to get a feeling on how many participants we would have. If you remember the turnout for the “Alberta’s Fastest Cop” event that we had last year, that’s what we had in mind.
So far we are just checking with everybody and a decision will be made early next week and posted on the Race City website and on our Face Book page “SecretStreetCalgary”
If you would attend, could you please reply to this e-mail.
Thanks for your help, trying to save this facility. We have big plans for it if we can get it long term.
Rick

I recently got home from the secret street/calgary motorsport dinner.
It would have been great if some of you had been able to make it, in Rick Francescone's (guy who has run secret street for the last three years) own words;
...it's great to meet somoene who gives a $h1t about motorsports in Calgary...
I got plenty of food, got to BS with some great guys about cars, and there was some good music too...
here's some pointers that you might all appreciate knowing;
1) This Friday's Secret Street is tentative for time being (look at the secret street facebook page, or the email I posted earlier);
-because Secret street is currently classified as a business, the key concern is covering costs... track rental is not cheap, then there's paying something like $175/hr to have EMS there, ect, ect.
If this friday happens, it will be to try to show the new mayor that there is a vibrant motorsports scene in Calgary, and that it deserves the city to not black-ball us (you wouldn't believe some of what I heard tonight).
I will do my best to keep you all posted if this happens - and if it does I would love to have as many of you show up as possible...
2) Without councils support, things are looking very bleak, because although some properties have been found, zoning is sounding to be impossible;
the term best suited is "not in my backyard".
