Hey guys I just want to ask something a bit more local…
There is another SS/SC owner in red deer with the same problem as me and I want to see if it’s a common problem?

My 2 bolt connection (flange) from my Header to Downpipe through engine movement has wedged itself open. Now my car is loud as hell, I’m leaking exhaust into my engine bay, and loosing back pressure.

Anyone besides just us red deer guys having this problem?
Is there a way to fix this or am I stuck replacing my DP and Header?

i'm not saying he doesn't, i know he does and give him props for it but i know i've beatin him a few times just not at race city.

 

its common with the 2 bolt flange system. go and get a new gasket and an exhaust gasket maker (comes in a tube like the silicone gasket makers) and smear that on, it fills all the holes, dry's hard as rock and does not leak. its how my exhaust is sealed at the moment and hasn't leaked since i put that stuff on it.

 

I know Steven, but in all fairness Graham beat Kris on deerfoot had to prove at race city, and lost 19inches in chrome to do it.
