Enjoy doing your CAB's, it's a spectacular time . The second one will be way easier.

they are easy to do when you have the correct tools to do them

Still building my collection haha.

The hardest part for me was trying to get the actual control arm out and then back in. No matter what I did it wanted to stay in it's little metal perch where the bushing sits. It would move around fine but just get caught on the lip in it.

Crappy pic into the sun with my phone but there ya go. The ugliness of the stock headlights is depressing me too much to continue with this, I'm getting my 3rd gens back together before doing the back.

congrats on the "stage1-wannabe SS/SC" mod

ok, do any of you know if there are pics somewhere of a cobalt sc or tc with a hidden hitch?

I totally wasted my time @ lunch by going to the hitch shop;
the guy barely looked at me, gave me a ball park "all in" number, and dind't even tell me what they would install, or the differences between the different hitches that could be used...

btw, I went there with info on three different "hidden hitch" brand hitches... and left with no more info...

I'd like to be able to bring my bicycle to the mountains without squeezing it in my trunk...

actually when I went back to school, it was my high math marks that got me in without having to upgrade...
I kinda did nothing for 1.5 terms in grade eleven math(20); long story short I took a double course load of math for grade twelve (23/33) and literally slept through it ~ and still had roughly a 90% average...

I wish I would have applied myself more in HS, I also wish I would have forgone the effort to have all academic classes... not that I needed them, but just one of those things...

I spent many first period classes at the pool hall (@ heritage square) with my buddies... we would sit in his one of their cars, till the second buzzer went, look at each other and say;
"oh well, we're late anyway, what do you wanna go do?"

meh... theres really no point. the majoirty of university degrees now let you transfer from colleges. college is easy as **** to get into and for the people who try hard in highschool so they can become doctors, lawyers, CEOs all have to do lame 4 year programs before they can apply for programs they actually want to go into. you only need to apply yourself once u hit the college/university level even then its iffy. C's get degrees!!

besides of my group of friends from highschool, the ones that did really well have taken shitty jobs in the workforce since they were sick of school. the ones that fucked around (including me) realized once we got out of HS we had to go to college/university to keep the fun going. and as a result of that we are getting decent paying jobs and once again we can keep the fun times going.

in the end regardless of how hard i would have tried in highschool id still be in the exact same position as i am now. that goes for the majority of my friends except one who went straight into engineering. that program is a bitch to get into... but i still think u might be able to transfer from college into it

Although those are both valid suggestions, IMHO roof-racks are for VW's or mini-vans, and a trunk (mounted) bike rack would probably damage my paint exponentially more than the elements already do.

I wanted to get a hitch for the same reason on my gran-dam, but considering it's age, I was (as I expected) unable to find one that would work (my GA has the same issue with lower ground effects that you would see from trying to put a base model cobalt hitch on an SS - I found a couple, but all clearly said they wouldn't work for my car because of the rear bumper cover...

I'd like to hit some trails on Oregon's Coats... that would be awsome!

and I mean, really was there any reason to not apply myself??
(aside from being immature)

I say no.

actually I hadn't yet.

that looked to be a base model hitch - it was probably used on an SS/2.4 as I think the opening they have in the center/rear allows for standard hitches.. I have some info here on the hidden hitch model numbers which should work for my car... I'm just not sure wht the difference is between them;
#24756 "Sportframe Hitch"
#60815 "Class 1 Hitch"
#51164 "Pro Series Receiver"

I'm pretty sure the last one is a beefier one - and considering I pretty much only want one for a bike rack thing-a-ma-bob, or hobby trailer at best... then I shouldn't have to worry about anything too heavy duty...

I do not want something that screams "HEY - I'm over here!!" though...
I would prefer it to be pretty much un-noticeable unless you're looking for it...

a hitch is going to be crappy for weight( if you plan on going to the track with it at all this year), the trunk mount bike racks have come along ways, check them out

Yeah. I've only seen 2 other 2.4's in this color so chances are it's me. I was behind an orange LSJ on the way home but it had gunmentals and I figure you still have your winter steelies.

I keep seeing that laser blue LSJ... has me so tempted to get 35% on my fronts and just hope for the best. I have a friend with a Jetta who had tint and got 2 tickets in the first 2 months owning it, but another guy with a Tiburon had tint for 2 years without a problem. It's hit or miss I guess.
