Honestly I have a week and a half off work and I'm bored out of my mind... even if I end up peeling it, it's been fun.

might as well start peeling now..... are they gun metal or polished? if polished good luck hahahhaa.... if gun metal sand them down and paint away.... my question is a guy who had sweet rims to begin with why wouldnt you just get after market? in my opinion you are making the car look cheap by painting the wheels.... there are other ways of making them look good without paint....

yes he did but he doesnt have much interest in doing a ton of dynos... he does know that some of you been waiting and he appreciates that... the guys who are in real need he will service first....

I had to sell my sweet rims with my 2.4 as part of the deal, it was the only way I was able to sell that car given the service history. These are '06 gunmentals that I'm plasti-dipping... paint is peeling a little bit and they're not in fantastic shape. I have no money left for more wheels.

honestly if you want black wheels do it.... but i would spray them after a real good sanding.... or you could do some highlighting... or you could do both.... i do have a copper color that is the closest match to that color i can possiblely get... plastic dip is a messy ugly thing... paint is always best...

This is reversible. I'll see if I like the look of black wheels. I've never painted anything in my life, if I had messed up like I just did with this, but with painted... well I'd have a much bigger problem.

interestingly enough - neither.

they're painted - appear to be the same paint as the LNF cars received too... I had to do a double take in them myself.

@Adrian; Mark can do some cool stuff at his work...

@Mark; Any idea what Sammy charges?

Last I heard it was 200 for the initial setup and then like 60 or something for any other pulls. Don't know if that was right to begin with

FYI; this would be more for kicks & giggles, and I wouldn't be dynoing the Cobalt.

I saw it a couple weeks ago;
looks to be a VERY rusty 1975 Firebird Formula...
I didn't stop to look because I have too many cars to begin with... and oh, there's that rust issue.

but last year before I got the white Cobalt I was looking at another 1975 Formula (it had ALOT less rust);

Yeah, I probably need to re-do 3 of the 4... but it's the first time I've even taken all my wheels off by myself. :shrug:

It's a really neat effect with the matte look. If/when I get them done for real, I'll get flat black for sure.

My cat is sleeping on it behind me. This trunk is bearable with the marks from the spoiler, unlike my 2.4 trunk which had a chipped ring of paint around the base of the wing. It'll stay like this for now. It's begging to be lowered, even more so with the wheels like this now... but my funds are running out.
