Calgary - random talk thread
taking the bus isn't that bad...
or post up on kijiji or something to see if anyone from 'ded-reer' is going up and will let you ride with in trade for gas money...
I thought about those options. Grey hound is the only viable option since I would have to take grey hound to red deer anyways to pick up a rental lol. Luckily my parents phoned me this morning as they were planning on crashing my place on Saturday for a mini vacation and can give me a lift to Edmonton afterwards. Then my sisters heading to Calgary on tuesday morning so I should have a ride back.
Anybody see this video? Guy in Montreal's turbo swapped ZZP LSJ. Jesus F'ing Christ.

Haha when I broke down I had just fixed the plug in my intercooler pump. Didn't even have my wallet or phone and I was very close to wearing my coveralls. Luckily I decided to take those off since I didn't want to get my seat dirty. That would gave been an embarrassing walk home hahaha. I just wanted to see if I truly fixed my car... It was fixed a while 3 minutes before **** went south FML lol
So I broke down and bought 4 new tires before I went to the states. Kumho Ecsta for 898 after install. Since I had a inner sidewall blow out on the passenger side front I figured after 3 years that 4 new ones were a good investment! lol
grandted yours, and my tires are expensive any way you shake it - I took my original (nearly shot) tires on my raod trip - but that was only to Winnipeg - so I was willing to chance it...
by the time I got back though all the wear indicators were fully exposed...
but thats ok, because just before my trip I found two pairs of virtually new Continental ContiSportContacts 225/45/18's and am rolling on those now...
I can't even begin to imagine how a FWD car would go crazy with a front tire having the inner sidewall blow out!
Q1: Was it bulging or anything before it happened?
Q2: Do you recall if you did anything that would have led to the blow out? (or were you just running on beyond shot tires?)
When I got the white Cobalt I received the original rubber - I have never seen tires that shot before... he had only faint remnants of where a tread pattern used to be!
@ Steve;
Sorry to "talk shop", but I drove by midnapore AV last weekend (when it was closed) and noticed that Mobile1 was going for $39 ~ do you know if that's still happening?
I ask becasue I'd rather spend my money @ AV over fall-apart...
