Crazy. And it's still raspy. I guess I really don't know what to tell you. All the restriction in the lsj is in the header and the downpipe, so If I were to do anything I would drop down the size and muffler / resonator from the cat back.
Yeah, I have heard nothing but good things about it. I think there is a correlation between how fast exhaust can escape out the back to the sound that's made, no matter how you try to muffle it.
If you want to get it fixed, you can try my jbp header, see if it nets you a better sound.

lol okay. sounds good. the main think I'm worried abouot is that in the patch we use corrosion inhibitors because methanol decreases the strength and life of steel. alloys and aluminum would be 10x worse I think
I still think you are worrying for nothing. The methanol will evap with the det charge before it can do anything anyways. think about how quick that air/meth/water mixture moves into the chambers.
he has the same long tube header, and his car sounds AWESOME!
When I met up with some of the Winnipeg Cobalt guys, he had some fun leaving the parking lot - did not sound at all ricey...
@ Pickles ... um, am I missing something here?
I though you sold your HPT to TJ, who in turn sold it to Project??
@ Jon. - Do you have HPT? ~ If you do, I've only heard good things about pickles - should you be able to nail him down
As far as power is concerned removing the long tube, and going to anything less is a downgrade - I wouldn't advocate this...
He still has it, I need to buy it back. I would really hope he didn't sell it, since I was hesitant about selling it to him in the first place for this reason.
You make a good point Jonathan. I would usually attribute rasping to metal on metal vibes through the piping.
