18" MKW M72's with Nexen 225/40/ZR18 directional performance tires, and Eibach sportline springs.

Oh ok. Yeah esp with the eibach sportline springs, different tires & wheels, I'd imagine it'd feel different/if not slightly better than the stock SS/TC rims & tires...

i think you're missing my point. it felt fine. it's the noise that bothered me. too much road noise, and the sunroof as i mentioned, didn't seal well.

Oh... Ok I got ya now.

Umm, yeah I can hear quite a bit of road noise in my SS/SC. Esp doing free-way speeds with the sunroof visor pulled back. But when I pull it shut, it's much quieter. Probably does have to do with the seals.

My dad was telling me that GM lightened the car up a bit, thus removing some insulation, which could be why it's noisy. who knows.

They can be quick...
Im going off the price tag vs what you get in terms of preformance. Do they even have a car that can keep up with the Shelby GT500? If so whats the price tag? Ill bet its well above 70k . Might as well buy a Z06, or a Viper at that point....

I'm talking about a an '05 IS300 for around $20k. Where do GT500's and Vipers, and Z06's come into play?

IS-F?
I was basing it off of what lexus offers in terms of a performance orient vs what the US has.

So for the same amount, you could buy a Z06, which is faster.

I can buy a Z06 for $20K? sweet. I hear what you are saying, but I'm not comparing an IS300 to anything, so not quite sure where or why you are mentioning Vipers, Z06's etc in this thread.

I like the fact that the IS300 is a "smaller" sport luxury, with a great engine to build on, for under $30k. Trust me, if I coud afford it, I would be looking higher.

Either way, i think my mind is almost made up. I've wanted a bike for a long time, and think it's time to do it.
