so as some of you may know i recently bought a b&m shifter from mopac, well we get it all installed and adjusted, then we realize o hey... the reverse lockout is backwards.... so we take it out and put in my stock shifter...

well today i went into mopac with the hope they would help me out... the following convo ensued...

me: i bought this from u 3 days ago and the reverse lockout was put on backwards
mopac guy: *with a smile* i told u it wouldnt fit
me: when did u tell me it wouldnt fit
mopac guy: just before you said yes to buying it!
me: i dont recall u saying anything of the sort...
mopac guy: well i even wrote it on your reciept (it was there, i had no idea)
me: so you knew the reverse lockout was backwards?
mopac guy: no it says its for an 05+ cobalt
me: shouldnt matter... its the same transmission...
mopac guy: that dosent matter
me: (now getting a lil angry) how dosent it matter?! u try putting this in an 05 cobalt and the same thing will happen... u wont have reverse!
mopac guy: o well, u bought it, call b&m...
me: thats some solid customer service u guys employ here! *walked away*


so basically he said he wasnt going to do anything. therefore i have to now call b&m and resolve the issue with them...


my mopac days are over... i will not support a company that has 0 customer support...

OWNED! ............... i agree mopac guys are pretty stupid.... i bought some plugs there, and i was like.... so these are the ones that fit right.......... he was like meh... i guess...... (good thing i knew for sure hahaha)

ya we'll see how it goes, some guy from mustang forums was in there and he gave me a pretty god suggestion i might try... on the peice that slides, that lil pin on the inside comes out if u tap it with a punch, he said to take that out and just turn the whole sliding assembly around, and that should straighten things out...

So it was assembled wrong from B&M? If so, then "Mopac" would exchange it for one that works/assembled correctly? That is BS....

 

thats exactly it... and they said take it up with b&m... so dumb...

 

yeah that's horrible customer service. When I lived in Calgary I heard some bad things about them... now I see why...

 

im done.... i wont go back and i suggest our local guys shouldnt support them either

 

well aparently they feel they have enuff customers already and don't want any new ones. but all in all they don't sound very helpful.

 

Make sure you file a complaint with the better business bureau. It doesn't seem like they care at all, but the red mark showing up on them will at least maybe make him smarten up.

I'm going to make a point of going in there now just so I can look around and see what the place is like, and let them know that word is spreading that they are ****, and I wanted to see for myself.

I called them when looking for a new spring for my Tial BOV. They said they never heard of Tial and only sell good quality BOVs like Turbo XS

 

thats why i stopped going in there.. they are dicks.. and dumber then a sack of doorknobs..

I've gotten quite a few gauges off them in the past and the guys that I deal with have always been really cool with me. One of them even came out to see how I managed to use a Neon gauge pod in my Sky! Still, what they're doing about your shifter absolutely sucks.

 

yea, what sidejam said, ive bought a few guages there and the guys seem pretty cool, but that is bullshit about your shifter dude. i dont think i would order a major part or anything im unsure of from them though.

 

agreed that makes me angry, seriously I am new to cars, and mopac would have been my first choice, bt now no way thay arent seeing me there.
