Our plant is supposed to be shut down in August, so that would be about the only time I could make it... If you guys will let a Theta-Epsilon hang around...

Here's a suggestion on a fun meet.
Cruise on out to vancouver.
Go to mission raceway for there street legal event.
Street Legal Events | Mission Raceway
Cruise to other parts of the vancouver hotspots on saturday.
Sunday cruise home.
Just a quick suggestion. not to much to organize. Just cruise and burn gas.

Sometime in sept would be good, less traffic and usually nicer weather.

If anything I think we should book a whole Test & Tune day, Mission Raceway is always busy.

on the website they have test and tune Friday in sept. Can e-mail and see if they will allow a group in during that time.

Just a sugestion on heading out that way.

Yeh its busy, but so is castrol and any other track.

Mission is almost at sea level. See what the cars can do then.

Nicer drive, twisty roads, night life, coast weather.

Different track and new vehicles that we have read about.

test & tune generally means there is no structured event;
you can have street cars playing, as well as legitimate racers trying to dial in their cars...

I would see no reason why they would turn you away.

but here's the deal;
Do any of you remember the failed 2010 Western Canadian Cobalt meet in 2010? i think pretty much everyone in AB & SK whined, and only BC guys showed up...

everyone complained that it wasn't central enough...

I'd think suggesting Mission raceway, would be just another flop.

I think that's too short of notice to get everyone to get there

I'm not expecting "everyone" to make it... just putting it out there...

and come on Greg, it's four weeks plus one day warning...
(four weeks from today being thursday the 28th)

Most jobs (providing you're able to book off holiday time) would only get irritated if you're wanting to book for that week ~ I've never hada problem booking off a month or so in advance.

Why, you thinking of coming out?

Nah it wouldn't really be an issue for me, I've booked a day of the day before once
I don't know if I can, my parents are on vacation and I think i'm stuck with the dog, depends when they get back to osoyoos.

^^which is probably why the WCCM-2010 deal fell apart...

let's not be nay-saying... if something is going to happen, decisions need to be made.

You're never going ot appease everyone, there will always be people to complain or naysay.

we're now in early June 2012;
If I haven't missed anything, still no decision has been made for an official (or unofficial) WCCM (or likeness thereof)... and June 1st is the halfway point of the year.

I put out that others could come to castrol on the 29th, becasue out of towners were already making the drive... granted compared to Saskatoon, or BC's lower mainland, the drive miniscule... but hey...

I hope all goes well (pic above didn't work on my comp). I won't be able to make it. I am looking at a project car on Saturday (1928 Ford Model A).

I hope there are lots of cars that turn out. I'm excited to see the pics if people are taking their cameras.

it was a picture of Glen Quaigmire fro mfamily guy saying "Gigity" doing his hip thrust & fist pump....

Me too!

this might not be any official "meet", but I'm hoping for a decent turn out - I know we should have at least two people there to take pictures/videos.
