So i went out today and got new headlights, tail lights and got my windows tinted. From what the guy told me at the tint was the back 3 windows was factory tint to 20%. And the previous owner tinted the fronts to about 35% So i got 5% all around...they stripped the front tint off and since the rear is factory tint its 0% now...cant really tell the difference looking from the outside but if you are in the truck you can notice a tiny bit difference. Lights cost me $900 and tint cost me $195 which was a summer deal...he said its normally $450 for my truck to do the 5 windows plus $20 per window stripping fee.

Thanks, Pretty much identical to the headlights...just ment for the ram. I'll be getting 10,000k for hi-beam and 8000k for the lowbeam and fog lights probably in the summer, cant wait for that. But the next thing im doing is getting the alarm and remote starter i have installed.

 

where do u get all your money from, every vehicle you get you drop +2000 into within a month, plus negative equaty on the last 2 trades?

 

military + i deal crack and meth on the side..lol, jk. Well half of it. And hey it isnt 2000 a month, its $1600 in 3 1/2 weeks..lol. But for real, i get paid a good amount in the army plus i just sold the parts i took off the 370z and i sold the last of the parts from the cobalt that i still had laying around.

Military do make a decent amount of money, my wife and I are both military and clear over 6500 a month. It is all about what you enjoy spending your money. I have different hobbies that I use it on instead of spending it on my car.

 

With the money you guys make in the military, I would of bought a house a looong time ago

 

Until i find out what i want to do with the rest of my career, im holding off on getting a house. ******* army is really pissing me off so i think im going go as a AVN tech in the air force and become a Flight Engineer on the Griffons. And andrew i cant remember what each light was worth, all i know is they both came to almost $900. Theres another set they have that i actualy do like better then the ones i got, but i see alot of rams with them and i want to be abit different.

 

ya military pays good money if i didn'thave a kid you can bet i'd be dumping over $1,000 a month into this car.

Yeah I know.... It sounds horrible.... That was only boosting to 10psi. Imaging if I was boosting 20

craziest thing... yesterday on the 101 i saw a really slow black cobalt and a white EVO that looked a bit like a cobalt and some crazy chick in the passenger seat waving her arms around. *waits for Krautsalat, Whitty, or Missymac to chime in* haha

Jerren your BOV sounds like your driving a Supra haha and Damien... i like the front lights on the truck but the tails look a bit ricey... not a big fan of the euro tails look.

On another note huge thumbs down to PYE Chev in Truro. Had to make an emergency stop off there a week ago around 3:30pm..they were extremely rude in the service dept and told me that they didn't want to look at my car as the techs leave work at 4:30pm....they wasn't a car in the shop at all. They finally agreed to bring it in and all the techs looked at it for a hour??
It was making a knocking noise that was progressively getting louder about 70kms outside truro. It was kind of going with the rotation of the motor and wheels. I told PYE that the sound was coming from the wheels and the techs didn't even take a wheel off or look around them...they were more facinated by the exhuast system for some odd reason. When I got the car back the lady tells me my car isn't covered by warrenty as its been modified(I am over 110,000kms so warrenty is over anyway) She then tels me my cat is clogged and thats whats making the noise. I asked her since I was doing alot of driving that weekend if the car is SAFE to drive. She says yes the techs found noothing wrong with the car other then the CAT. I paid and went to the chalets the wifey and myself rented.
When we left on Sunday it was making the noise even worse. Just outside maitland I heard a bang so I pulled over and noticed not one but two wheel nuts gone in the front tires. I grabbed the wrench and tightened the remaning nuts up and drove home pissed. I put some new nuts on the car and noticed not just the fronts were loose but all the back were as well. I put new nuts on the rears too and haven't had them back off yet. That was safe wasn't it?????
Needless to say I want to thank the arsehole techs at PYE Chev for a job well done...maybe you should listen to the customers more often and stop beating off to my exhuast. I have thrown a complaint down the GM of PYE chevs throat and GM's Head office which I have a telephone conference with on monday with headoffice and PYE Chev.


All I want is an oil change lol

 

Thinking that now as well. They looked good online, im wondering if i can go back and get the other style they had. Although these lights are REALLY bright so it will be easier for people to see and stay away from my ass.


Edit: Exchanged my tail lights for a difference set, they cost $189 less so i bought some oil and im going to do engine/transmission oil change today.

Nope, wasnt me...only husky truckstop i been to lately is the one out by the airport (not sure if it was on 26th or not) But i was in a military van.

Anyways, heres the new tail lights..they look alot better imo

 

Much better, I also didnt like the other ones. I was going to recommend that the stock taillights would look sweet tinted and much better. But tThose new ones you have are even better imo.
